Dispute Over Football Gear Lands One in Jail

No one was injured in the incident that occurred at Marlowe Middle School about 8 p.m. Friday.

A Chicago man is charged with assault after threatening another man over a football helmet and pair of shoes at on Friday night.

Peter C. Mourgelas, 38, of 7311 Oriole, Chicago, was charged and released after posting a $120 cash bond. He is expected back in court Aug. 18. 

Mourgelas threatened another man with bodily harm, but did not hurt him, according to Lake in the Hills police.

Police could not provide details surrounding the circumstances of the incident or whether the men were attending a game or a practice at the school when the incident happened about 8 p.m.
