Crime Reports: Arrests for Unlawful Sale of Alcohol to a Minor; LITH Man Arrested for Excessive Speeding

Algonquin and Lake in the Hills Police Department reports from Dec. 10 and Dec. 20.

Dec. 10

11:28 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Wojciech Stachon-Kosarek, 42, of Burbank at Virginia Road and Trinity Drive in Lake in the Hills for driving while license suspended, overweight on registration and violation of classification. He was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Jan. 23 in McHenry County.

Dec. 11 

1:05 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Ryan T. Gaynor, 21, at Randall Road and Corporate Parkway for speeding in excess of 40 mph and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Jan. 30 in Algonquin. Linsey M. Rayfield, 18, of 8 E. Pheasant Trail in LITH, was also taken into custody during the same incident. She was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. She was also released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Jan. 30 in Algonquin. 

Dec. 13

1:41 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Adam Acevedo, 18, at Randall Road and County Line Road in LITH for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding. Acevedo of Elgin was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Jan. 9 in McHenry County.

Dec. 14

10:05 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Lynn M. Pudella, 49, for retail theft at Kohl's, 734 S. Randall Road in Algonquin. Pudella, of 4 Clover Court in Algonquin, was released on a notice to appear. Pudella is next expected in court on Jan. 30 in Algonquin. 

2:14 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police responded to ABC School Comestic, 9213 South Route 31 in Lake in the Hills, for a report of an engagement ring that was stolen. The report was turned over to investigations. 

4:18 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Jacqueline L. Gruber, 45, at Kohl's, 734 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, for retail theft. Gruber, of 1389 New Haven Drive in Cary, was released on a notice to appear. She is next expected in court on Jan. 30 in Algonquin. 

Dec. 15

8:53 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Nyphodora M. Gonzalez, 39, at Algonquin Road and Berg Street in Algonquin for driving under the influence. Gonzalez, of 14034 Somerset Lane in Huntley, was released after posting $100 and her Illinois Driver's License. She is next expected in court on Jan. 23 in McHenry County. 

9:58 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Efren Benitez, 30, at Randall Road and Polaris Drive in LITH for driving while license revoked and driving too fast for conditions. Benitez of Elgin was later released on bond. 

8:18 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Michael A. Geinopolos, 18, at Golf Course Road and Miller Road in LITH for possession of marijuana and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. Geinopolos, of 1175 Heavens Gate in LITH, was later released on bond. Police also arrested Nicholas M. Fontanetta, 19, for possession of marijuana, driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol content over .08, illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and speeding. Fontanette, of 1766 Thomasville Lane in Crystal Lake, was later released on bond. 

Dec. 16

2:55 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Luis Yebra Jr., 39, at Algonquin Road and Berg Street in Algonquin for driving under the influence, improper lane use and not driving on the right side of road. Yebra of Carpentersville was released after posting $100 and his Illinois Driver's License. He was next expected in court on Jan. 23 in McHenry County. 

9:43 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Tiara M. Norris, 29, at the Lake in the Hills Police Department, 1115 Crystal Lake Road, on a warrant out of McHenry County for two counts of aggravated driving under the influence and child endangerment. Morris, of 840 Peachtree Court in Lake in the Hills, was later released on bond. 

10:56 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police received a report of a saw, drill, socket wrench and drill ratchet from a garage in the 100 block of Hawthorne Road in Lake in the Hills. The report was turned over to investigations. 

5:57 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Agnieszka Wojtowicz, 26, of Pingree Grove at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, for attempted unlawful acquisition of a controlled substance. She was released on a personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on Jan. 6 in McHenry County. 

Dec. 17

9 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested David M. Connolly, 37, at St. Alexian Hospital for domestic battery, unlawful interference with the reporting of a domestic battery, aggravated assault, criminal damage to property, reckless conduct and disorderly conduct. Connolly of Schaumburg was transported to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

2:04 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Michael A. Reichley, 43, at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, for felony retail theft. He was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

5:38 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Ruben Dimas, 30, at Cary-Algonquin Road and Main Street for no valid driver's license and improper lane use. He was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Jan. 16 in McHenry County. 

6:00 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested a 15-year-old Lake in the Hills boy in the 5000 block of Windgate Way in LITH for hosting an underage party. The boy was later released to a parent. 

6:14 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Tara A. Geiss, 51, at Route 62 and Harrison Street in Algonquin for driving while license suspended, no proof of insurance and disobeying traffic control device. Geiss, of 187 Uteg Apt. 206B in Crystal Lake, was released on a personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on Jan. 16 in McHenry County. 

Dec. 18

11:18 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police responded to the 5400 block of Whitmore Way in Lake in the Hills for a report of two laptops that were taken from a vehicle. The report was turned over to investigations. 

Dec. 19

12:26 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Joshua C. Haske, 21, for driving under the influence, improper turn and not front plate. Haske of West Dundee was taken into custody at Stonegate Road and Carlisle in Algonquin. He was released after posting $100 and his Illinois Driver's License and is next expected in court on Jan. 30 in McHenry County. 

4:16 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 15-year-old boy, 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, all of Algonquin, near 1437 Merchant Drive in Algonquin, for retail theft. The teens were referred to the tri-county area peer jury and then released into the custody of their parents. 

8:17 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Cheryl L. Recchia, 48, at the Algonquin Police Department on two counts of unlawful sale of alcohol to a minor. Recchia, of 2801 Briarcliff Lane in Lake in the Hills, was released on a notice to appear, and is next expected in court on Jan. 30 in Algonquin. 

10:04 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Amee A. Hobday, 33, at the Algonquin Police Department on two counts of unlawful sale of alcohol to a minor. Hobday, of 178 Prairie St. Apt. 2 in Crystal Lake, was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Jan. 30 in Algonquin. 

Dec. 20

2:15 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Keith A. Wesa, 23, at Algonquin and Frank roads for driving while license suspended, expired registration and operating and uninsured motor vehicle. Wesa, of 12507 S. Lake View Drive in Huntley, was later released on bond. 

10:15 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Stephanie N. Guay, 28, at the Algonquin Police Department, 9721 Main St. in Algonquin, on two counts of unlawful sale of alcohol to a minor. Guay, of 9721 Main St. in Algonquin, was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Jan. 30 in Algonquin. 

10:20 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Teresa Wesolowski, 54, at the Algonquin Police Department on two counts of unlawful sale of alcohol to a minor. Wesolowski, of 1673 Edgewood Drive in Algonquin, was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Jan. 30 in Algonquin. 

2:56 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Julia M. Witt, 49, at the Algonquin Police Department on two counts of unlawful sale to a minor. Witt, of 4920 Princeton Lane in Lake in the Hills, was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Jan. 30 in Algonquin. 

3:26 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Robert J. Fitz, 46, for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and felony driving while license suspended at Randall Road and County Line Road in Algonquin. Fitz, of 3551 Wintergreen Terrace in Algonquin, was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.
