Crime Reports: Teens Arrested for Mob Action, Battery; Home Burglary Reported in LITH

The Algonquin and Lake in the Hills Police Department reports from recent days.

The Algonquin and Lake in the Hills crime reports contain basic information on incident and arrest reports provided to Patch.com by the Algonquin Police Department and Lake in the Hills Police Department.

An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Oct. 1

4:49 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Matthew T. Booth, 33, at his home at 128 Brook St. in Algonquin on a warrant out of Kane Couty for cruelty to animals. Also arrested was Noelle C. Allen, 43, on a warrant out of Kane County for forgery. Booth was released after posting $100 and is next expected in court on Oct. 23 in Kane County. Allen, also of 128 Brook St. in Algonquin, was taken to the McHenry County Jail to await transport to Kane County after she was unable to post bond.

Oct. 3

12:57 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Kevin M. Kniesal, 26, at 2126 W. Algonquin Road in Lake in the Hills, for driving while license revoked, operating uninsured motor vehicle, no front registration, improper use of registration and possession of marijuana. Kniesal, of 1506 Clayton Marsh Drive in Lake in the Hills, was later released on bond. 

8:42 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Joann M. Johnson, 48, in the 1400 block of Monroe Street in Lake in the Hills for trespassing to land. Johnson, of 1413 Monroe St. in LITH, was issued a notice to appear.

9:03 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police received a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle in the 200 block of Ellis Road in Lake in the Hills. An iPod, GPS and I-Pass were taken from the vehicle. The report was under investigation by the reporting officer. 

Oct. 4

11:58 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Shannin L. Matravers, 37, at Commons Drive and Randall Road in Algonquin for driving while license suspended. Matravers of Palatine was released on a personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on Nov. 13 in McHenry County. She was released on a personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on Nov. 13 in McHenry County. 

10:16 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Elizabeth J. Despain, 30, for theft at Target, 750 S. Randall Road in Algonquin. Despain of Pingree Grove was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Nov. 7 in McHenry County. 

Oct. 5

5:38 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Vilma A. Sanchez, 31, for driving while under the influence, driving in the wrong lane and improper lane use at Algonquin Road and Randall Road. Sanchez, of 647 Eletson Drive in Crystal Lake, was released after posting $100 and her Illinois Driver's License and is next expected in court on Nov. 14 in McHenry County. 

7:53 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Aaron D. Trayes, 29, at Algonquin Road and Route 31 in Lake in the Hills for driving while license suspended, suspended registration and no valid insurance. Trayes of Holiday Hills was later released on bond. 

8:19 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police received a report of a burglary that occurred at a home in the 1300 block of Cunat Circle in Lake in the Hills. Entrance was made through a window and a Playstation 3 and controllers were taken. 

10:04 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Juan Gutierrez, 43, at Algonquin Road and Berg Street in Lake in the Hills for driving while license suspended and suspended registration. Gutierrez, of 1356 Skyridge Drive, A, in Crystal Lake, was later released on bond. 

7:54 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Susan R. Korth, 54, for retail theft at Meijer, 400 S. Randall Road in Algonquin. Korth, of 5061 Thistle Lane in Lake in the Hills, was released on a notice to appear and is expected in court on Nov. 28 in McHenry County. 

Oct. 6

2:06 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Anne C. Smolarski, 25, for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with breath alcohol content over .08, improper lane use and failure to signal. Smolarski of Elk Grove Village was later released on bond. 

11:54 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Alejandra M. Valdez, 19, in the 2100 block of Daybreak Drive for underage consumption of alcohol. Valdez, of 10982 Preston Parkway of Huntley, was issued a notice to appear. 

1:36 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police received a report of two motorcycles that were stolen from a storage facility at Pyott Storage, 1402 Indistrial Drive. 

7:24 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested a 14-year-old Lake in the Hills boy at the Sunset Skate Park, 9200 Haligus Road in Lake in the Hills, for battery and mob action. The boy was released to a parent. 

8:54 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Alejandro Casteneda, 20, at Randall and Miller roads for no valid driver's license, expired registration and no insurance. Casteneda of Aurora was later released on bond. 

Oct. 7

12:53 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Emilee R. Gajewski, 31, for driving under the influence of alcohol, drove off road, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving whle using an electronic communication device. Gajewski, of 2236 Pembridge Drive in Lake in the Hills, was later released on bond. 

7:37 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Nikko R. Gonzalez, 19, for battery and mob action. He was taken into custody at the Lake in the Hills Police Department, 1115 Crystal Lake Road in Lake in the Hills. He was later released on bond.
