Crime Reports: Teens Arrested for Criminal Damage; Underage Drinking Arrests

The Algonquin and Lake in the Hills Police Department reports from recent days.

The Algonquin and Lake in the Hills crime reports contain basic information on incident and arrest reports provided to Patch.com by the Algonquin Police Department and Lake in the Hills Police Department.

An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 24

12:38 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Cecelia M. Sanchez, 21, at Algonquin and Randall roads for driving while license suspended and no insurance. Sanchez, 312 Hiawatha Drive in Lake in the Hills, was later released on bond. 

4:41 p.m.: Algonquin police arrested a 16-year-old Carpentersville man for retail theft at Meijer, 400 S. Randall Road. He was referred to the Tri-County Area Peer Jury and then released into the custody of his father. 

5:47 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested two 14-year-old Lake in the Hills boys at the Lake in the Hills Police Department, 1115 Crystal Lake Road in LITH, for criminal damage property. Both boys were turned over to their parents. 

8:19 p.m.: Algonquin police arrested Maya S. Ali, 41, at her home at 566 Woods Creek Lane in Algonquin for domestic battery. Ali was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

Sept. 25

4:23 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Matthew A. Sorich, 19, at Division and Main streets in Algonquin for theft and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. Sorich, of 3 Salford Court in Algonquin, was taken to McHenry County Jail when unable to post bond. 

1:59 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Nicholas K. Jenkins, 24, at Algonquin and Randall roads on a warrant from the McHenry County Sheriff's Office on an expire driver's license charge. Jenkins, 13 Brian Court in Algonquin, was later released on bond. 

5:30 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested a 13-year-old Lake in the Hills boy in the 2000 block of Briarcliff Lane in Lake in the Hills for criminal damage to property. The boy was turned over to his parents. 

8:50 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested James A. Reckweg, 20, in the 600 block of David Street for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. Reckweg, 793 Willow St. in LITH, was issued a notice to appear. Also arrested was Melissa L. Connolly, 18, for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and hosting underage drinking party. Connolly, 648 David St. in LITH, was issued a notice to appear. Brian A. Del Bello, 19, of 1710 Crofton Drive in Algonquin, was taken into custody as well for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and issued a notice to appear. 

Sept. 26

10:42 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police received a report of a burglary from a vehicle in the 700 block of Wedgewood Circle in Lake in the Hills. A wallet was taken from the vehicle. The report was turned over to investigations. 

4:50 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Peter M. Ulrich, 49, at Harnish Drive and Stonegate Road in Algonquin for driving under the influence, improper lane usage and no turn signal. Ulrich, of 5041 Thistle Lane in Lake in the Hills, was relesaed after posting $100 and his Illinois Driver's License. He is next expected in court on Nov. 27 in McHenry County. 

6:26 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 16-year-old Huntley girl at Kohl's, 734 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, for retail theft. The girl was referred to the Tri-County Area Peer Jury and then released into the custody of her mother. 

6:40 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police received a burglary to a motor vehicle report in the 5400 block of Whitmore Way. A GPD and change was taken from the unlocked vehicle. The report was turned over to investigations. 

Sept. 27

1 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Kevin A. Harnist, 38, at Algonquin and Lakewood roads for driving under the influence of alcohol and speeding. Harnist, at 10303 Hunter Trail in Huntley, was later released on bond.
