Crime Reports: Algonquin Man Arrested at Moretti's for Battery

Crime reports and arrests made by the Algonquin and Lake in the HIlls police departments over the past week.

The Algonquin and Lake in the Hills crime reports contain basic information on incident and arrest reports provided to Patch.com by the Algonquin Police Department and Lake in the Hills Police Department.

Nov. 11

2:50 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Javier Amateco-Martinez, 44, and Benigno Vargas Villagomez, 43, both of Elgin, atKohl's, 734 S. Randall Road in Algonquin. Both were charged with retail theft and were released after posting $150. They are next expected in court on Dec. 12 in McHenry County.

Nov. 12

1:02 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Jessica A. Wishon, 40, at Randall Road and Route 72 in Algonquin for retail theft. Wishon of Elgin was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Dec. 19 in McHenry County.

Nov. 14

7:04 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested James H. Daniels, 66, at 101 N. Randall Road, for expired driver's license more than one year, suspended registration, no valid insurance and improper use of registration. Daniels of Fox Lake was later released on bond.

3:11 p.m. Algonquin Police arrested Justin A. Deloriea, 30 at North Harrison and Front streets in Algonquin for driving while license suspended, no seat belt and no proof of insurance. Deloriea of Burbank was released on a personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on Dec. 19 in McHenry County.

6:03 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Jillian C. Andel, 28, and Walter C. Defrates Jr., 52, at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, for retail theft. They were both released on a personal recognizance bond and are next expected in court on Dec. 12 in McHenry County.

9:01 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Jorge C. Lopez, 25, of McHenry for driving while license suspended and speeding at Algonquin and Frank roads in Lake in the Hills. Lopez was later released on bond.

10:30 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Mary E. McCloskey-Francissen, 49, at Randall Road and Huntington Drive in Algonquin for driving under the influence, improper lane use and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. McCloskey-Francissen, of 2821 Waterfront Ave. in Algonquin, was released after posting $300 and is next expected in court on Dec. 19 in McHenry County.

Nov. 16

12:42 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested James M. Kitanga, 37, at Randall Road and Acorn Lane in LITH for driving while license suspended, possession of drug paraphernalia and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Kitanga of DeKalb was later released on bond.

1:40 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Patricia Cabrera, 19, for driving under the influence of alcohol, improper traffic lane usage, fail to notify secretary of state of address change, no valid insurance and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. Cabrera of Elgin was later released on bond.

3:11 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested a 14-year-old Lake in the Hills boy at 9628 Haligus Road in LITH, on a battery charge. The teen was later released to a parent.

9:52 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Jeff W. Burnett, 31, at Main Street and Huntington Drive in Algonquin for felony driving while license revoked, no seat belt and no proof of insurance. He was transported to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.

Nov. 17

2:56 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Omar S. Razvi, 38, at Moretti's, 220 N. Randall Road in LITH, on a battery charge. Razvi, of 100 S. Main St. Apt. 17 in Algonquin, was later released on bond. Police also arrested Matthew W. Paul, 23, on a warrant — ISP Oakbrook for failure to appear traffic offense and a warrant—McHenry County for failure to appear for driving while license revoked. Paul of South Elgin was later released on bond.

3:24 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Tonya E. Roberts, 23, at Randall Road and Alexandria Boulevard in Lake in the Hills, for driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol greater than .08, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana 2.5-10 grams, driving while license suspended, operating uninsured motor vehicle and headlight violation. Roberts, of 7 Cardinal Lane in Carpentersville, was turned over to the McHenry County Jail.

3:16 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 17-year-old girl for retail theft at Claire's, 1728 S. Randall Road in Algonquin. She was formally station adjusted and then released into the custody of her parents.

10:16 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Luis A. Garcia, 24, at Randall Road and Stonegate Road in Algonquin for no valid driver's license and expired registration. Garcia of Elgin was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Dec. 26 in McHenry County.

Nov. 18

12:57 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Jonathan A. Mertel, 31, in the 600 block of Seminole Trail in LITH for driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal transportation of alcohol and speeding. Mertel, of 601 Seminole Trail in LITH, was later released on bond.

4:04 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Kyle R. Hayes, 22, of Hot Springs, Ariz., for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. He was taken into custody at Route 31 and Washington Street in Algonquin and released after posting $150. Hayes is next expected in court on Dec. 19 in McHenry County.

4:08 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Eric J. Medina-Besiche, 26, at 101 Pyott Road in LITH, for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol content greater than .08, improper lane usage, and no valid driver's license. Medina-Besiche of McHenry was later released on bond.

6:58 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 13-year-old Algonquin girl in the 700 block of Braewood Drive in Algonquin for theft and unlawful use of a credit card. She was petitioned into juvenile court and released into the custody of her parents.

Nov. 19

9:04 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Robina M. Smith, 62, at Leap & Bounds, 9243 S. Route 31, for driving while license suspended. Smith of Wheeling was later released on bond.

2:51 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 15-year-old Algonquin boy and 16-year-old Algonquin girl in the 500 block of East Algonquin Road for retail theft. They were both referred to tri-county area peer jury and then released to their parents.

Nov. 20

12:02 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Josef W. Dethrow, 22, at Scott Street and Souwanas Trail in Algonquin for driving under the influence, driving under the influence over, failure to give information after striking unattended vehicle, one headlight and failure to reduce speed. He was released on a personal recognizance bond after posting his Illinois Driver's License.

7:04 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Patricia Cabrera, 19, at the Lake in the Hills Police Department, 1115 Crystal Lake Road in LITH, for unlawful possession of fraudulent identification card. Cabrera of Elgin was later released on bond.

1:18 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Eleonora Marinovici, 24, at Gordman's, 1500 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, for retail theft. Marinovici, of 3210 New Market Ave. in Carpentersville, was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Dec. 19 in Algonquin.
