Crime Reports: Police Bust Underage Drinking Party; Vehicle Fire in LITH

Algonquin and Lake in the Hills Police Department reports from Nov. 8 through Nov. 10.

Nov. 8

1:12 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Daniel Serafino, 40, at Randall Road and West Algonquin Road in Algonquin for driving under the influence, speeding, improper lane and obstructing a peace officer. Serafino, 1416 Skyridge Drive, Apt. 3, in Crystal Lake, was transported to McHenry County Jail when unable to post bond. 

12:10 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Jose C. Velazquez, 20, on a warrant for a violation of order of protection at the Lake in the Hills Police Department, 1115 Crystal Lake Road. He was turned over to McHenry County Jail.

8:17 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested a 17-year-old Algonquin girl at Indian Trail Beach, 228 Indian Trail, for possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of park hours. She was released to a parent. 

11:04 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Lamar P. Summers, 52, on two counts of domestic battery in the first block of Barton Creek Court in Lake in the Hills. 

Nov. 9

11:33 p.m.: A vehicle fire was reported in the 100 block of Hilltop Drive in Lake in the Hills. The report was turned over to investigations. 

Nov. 10

12:32 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 17-year-old Elgin boy at Randall and County Line roads for no valid driver's license and driving during a restricted time (graduated driver's license). The boy was released on a personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on Dec. 4. in McHenry County. A 16-year-old Elgin boy was taken into custody during the same incident and was charged with violation of curfew. He was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Dec. 19 in Algonquin. 

2:35 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Jose P. Morquecho, 20, on a warrant out of Elgin for possession of drug paraphernalia at Broadsmore Drive and Randall Road in Algonquin. He was released after posting $1,000 and is next expected in court on Dec. 11 in Kane County. 

2:45 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Kelly E. Keenan, 22, for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, driving under influence, DUI over, unsafe equipment and unsafe tires. She was released after posting $100 and her Illinois Driver's License and is next expected in court on Dec. 19 in McHenry County. 

3:14 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Andres J. Elias of Elgin for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor at Broadsmore Drive and Randall Road in Algonquin. He was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Dec. 19 in Algonquin. 

8:06 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police responded to a home in the 200 block of Indian Trail in Lake in the Hills and arrested Stephanie A. Loose, 19, for hosting an underage party and underage consumption of alcohol. Loose was given a notice to appear.

Also arrested at the party were: 

  • Lindsey N. Larson, 19, of 1121 Sawmill Lane in Algonquin, for underage consumption of alcohol. She was issued a notice to appear. 
  • Nicole M. Giannini, 18, of Arlington Heights, for underage consumption of alcohol. She was issued a notice to appear. 
  • Shawn M. Carter, 20, of Mount Prospect, for underage consumption of alcohol. He was issued a notice to appear. 
  • Joshua R. Lopez, 20, of Mount Prospect, for underage consumption of alcohol. He was issued a notice to appear. 
  • A 16-year-old Lake in the Hills girl for underage consumption of alcohol. She released to a parent and issued a notice to appear. 

9 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Gregory T. Fisher, 41, for criminal damage to property in the 800 block of West Algonquin Road. Fisher of Spring Grove was released on a personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on Dec. 12 in McHenry County. 

3:34 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Alejandro Pineda, 28, for no valid driver's license and improper lane use at Main Street and Huntington Drive in Algonquin. Pineda, of 1614 Sacremento Drive in Carpentersville, was released after posting $150. He is next expected in court on Dec. 12 in McHenry County. 

4:29 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 15-year-old Huntley girl and a 16-year-old Lake in the Hills girl for retail theft at Kohl's, 734 S. Randall Road in Algonquin. They were referred to the Tri-County Area Peer Jury and then released into the custody of their parents.  

7:38 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Madelon M. Deckard, 48, in the 70 block of Hilltop Drive on two counts of domestic battery. Deckard was turned over to the McHenry County Jail.
