Crime Reports: Police Arrest Local Man for Fleeing, Eluding; Teen Arrested on Drug Charges

Lake in the Hills and Algonquin Police Department crime reports from the past week.

The Algonquin and Lake in the Hills crime reports contain basic information on incident and arrest reports provided to Patch.com by the Algonquin Police Department and Lake in the Hills Police Department.

Jan. 2

7:25 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 16-year-old Algonquin boy in the 700 block of Webster Street in Algonquin for criminal damage to property and theft. He was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his father.

11:18 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Heriberto R. Camacho, 18,  at Harvest Gate and Algonquin Road in Lake in the Hills for no valid driver’s license and driving off road. Camacho of Chicago was later released on bond.

Jan. 3

11:43 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Juan R. Camarena-Padil, 19, at Charles Avenue and Teri Lane in Algonquin for fleeing and eluding, no valid driver’s license, no proof of insurance and disobeying stop sign. Camarena-Padil of Carpentersville was transported to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. Police also took into custody a 17-year-old Carpentersville boy and charged him with hit and run, failure to reduce speed, no proof of insurance and no valid driver’s license. The boy was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his parents. 

Jan. 4

11:03 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Alejandro Mendoza, 31, at L&V Distributors, 8108 Pyott Road in LITH, for driving while license suspended and speeding. Mendoza, of 1535 Stockton Lane in Crystal Lake, was later released on bond.

Jan. 5

3:34 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police responded to Pingree Road and Virginia Road in Lake in the Hills for a hit and run report. Two vehicles were involved in the accident before the offending vehicle left the scene. The report was under investigation by the reporting officer.

5:13 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police responded to the 100 block of Oakleaf Road in Lake in the Hills for a report of a vehicle that hit several mailboxes and then left the scene. The report was under investigation by the reporting officer.

Jan. 6

3:29 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 16-year-old Algonquin boy at Bunker Hill Drive and Georgetown Circle in Algonquin for criminal trespassing to motor vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, violation of curfew and possession of marijuana. He was petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his mother.

3:35 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 17-year-old Algonquin boy at Bunker Hill Drive and Georgetown Circle for no valid driver’s license, possession of fireworks and criminal trespassing to motor vehicle. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on Feb. 6 in McHenry County.

8:15 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Kent Thomas, 48, at Algonquin Road and Cedar Ridge Drive in Lake in the Hills for driving while license suspended. Thomas of Schaumburg was released on bond.

9:19 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Randy G. Bressinger, 31, in the 2300 block of South Randall Road in Algonquin on a warrant out of Kane County. Bresinger of Carpentersville was picked up by the Kane County Sheriff’s Office when unable to post bond.

4:23 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Edward F. Steineke III, 57, at Meijer, 400 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, for retail theft. Steineke of Woodstock was released on a notice to appear and was next expected in court on Feb. 27 in Algonquin.

Jan. 7

4:04 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Tammy A. Bloch, 51, in the 100 block of Oakleaf Road in Lake in the Hills for leaving the scene of property damage accident and improper lane usage. Bloch of Plainfield, Wis. was released on bond.
