Crime Reports: LITH Teens Arrested for Curfew Violations; Several Vehicle Break-Ins

The Lake in the Hills Police Department also arrested a Crystal Lake man for domestic battery at Moretti's. Algonquin Police arrested a teen at Jacobs High School on a warrant out of Kane County for burglary.

The Algonquin and Lake in the Hills crime reports contain basic information on incident and arrest reports provided to Patch.com by the Algonquin Police Department and Lake in the Hills Police Department.

An arrest does not indicate a conviction.

October 13

9:28 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Antonio Lopez, 32, for driving under the influence, no valid driver's license, following too closely, littering, driving while license suspended and unlawful transportation of alcohol. Lopez, of 616 Tecumseh Trail in Lake in the Hills, was released after posting $300 and is next expected in court on Nov. 14 in McHenry County.

October 15

10:23 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 15-year-old Carpentersville man on a juvenile warrant out of Kane County for burglary at Jacobs High School, 2601 Bunker Hill Drive in Algonquin. He was taken to Kane County Jail Detention Center to await a bond hearing. 

2:51 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police received a report of a lawn tractor stolen from Hopkins & Son, 9150 Pyott Road in Lake in the Hills. The report is under investigation.

October 16

12:40 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Taylor K. Skubal, 20, for retail theft at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road in Algonquin. Skubal was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Nov. 28 in Algonquin. 

6:05 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Ryan J. Ziebel, 23, in the 10 block of Redbud Court in Lake in the Hills on two counts of domestic battery, unlawful restraining and criminal damage to property. Ziebel, of 19 Redbud Court in Lake in the Hills, was turned over to McHenry County Jail. 

October 18

2:39 a.m.: Lake in the Hills police arrested Joseph P. Condo, 37, at Taco Bell, 231 N. Randall Road in Lake in the Hills, for driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying traffic control device and operating uninsured motor vehicle. Condo, of 8480 Swanson Road in LITH, was later released on bond. 

1:20 p.m.: Lake in the Hills police arrested Blake S. Meadows, 24, on a warrant out of Kane County for contempt of court. Meadows, of 1022 McPhee Drive in Lake in the Hills, was turned over to McHenry County Jail. 

October 19

1:38 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 13-year-old Algonquin girl for violation of curfew at Ash and Hillcrest streets in Algonquin. The teen was formally station adjusted and then released into custody of her grandmother. 

11:59 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Salvador Gutierrez, 33, at Hobby Town, 9200 Pyott Road, for retail theft. Gutierrez of Richmond was later released on bond. Police also arrested Stephanie L. Hubley, 20, for retail theft. Hubley, of 1520 Washington St. in Lake in the Hills, was turned over to McHenry County Jail. 

October 20

5:21 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Genevieve R. Valentin, 28, at Moretti's, 220 N. Randall Road in Lake in the Hills, on two counts of domestic battery. Valentin, of 234 Evergreen Parkway in Crystal Lake, was turned over to McHenry County Jail. 

12:15 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested James W. Winecki, 53, at Albrecht and Lakewood roads in Lake in the Hills for expired registration and tinted cover on license plate. Winecki, of 1227 Amberwood Drive in Crystal Lake, was later released on bond. 

October 21

2:09 a.m.: Three Lake in the Hills teens were arrested for curfiew violations in the first block fo Crofton Court in Lake in the Hills. A 14-year-old Lake in the Hills boy, 16-year-old Lake in the Hills boy and a 14-year-old Lake in the Hills boy were all charged with curfew violation. The first 14-year-old LITH boy was turned over to his sister and the other two teens were turned over to parents. The reports were under investigation by the reporting officer. 

3:08 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Mark Barnette, 42, at Route 31 and Virginia Road in Lake in the Hills for driving under the influence of alcohol and disobeying a traffic control device. Barnette of Des Plaines was later released on bond. 

3:32 a.m.-11:07 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police received four reports of trespassing to vehicles Sunday morning. The reports include: 

  • An unlocked vehicle was entered by someone overnight in the 3000 block of Brisbane Drive in Lake in the Hills. The trespassing was reported to police at 3:32 a.m. 
  • An unlocked vehicle was entered in the 2000 block of Brisbane Drive in Lake in the Hills. Police received the report at 3:42 a.m.
  • An unlocked vehicle was entered by someone overnight in the first block of Crofton Court in Lake in the Hills. Police received the report at 3:42 a.m.
  • An unlocked vehicle was entered by someone overnight in the 2600 block of Crofton Circle in Lake in the Hills. Police received the report at 11:07 a.m. 

All of the trespassing reports are under investigation.
