Crime Reports: LITH Man Faces Aggravated Assault Charge; Algonquin Girl Arrested at Jacobs for Battery

Oct. 27

4:09 p.m.: A 13-year-old Carpentersville boy was charged with retail theft after being arrested at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road in Algonquin. He was referred to the tri-county area peer jury and then released into the custody of his parents.

6:55 p.m.: A 13-year-old Lake in the Hills boy was charged with retail theft after being arrested at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road in Algonquin. He was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his parents.

Oct. 28

8:20 a.m.: LITH Police responded to LeRoy Guy Park, 210 Lakewood Road in LITH, for a report of display case that had been broken and bulletin board that was removed from the wall of the restroom facility. The report was turned over to investigations.

8:29 a.m.: LITH Police received a report of a GPS, $60 and two pairs of head phones that were taken from two unlocked vehicles at some point overnight in the first block of Wright Court. The report was turned over to investigations.

8:37 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Kyle R. Hayes, 22, for driving while license suspended, failure to notify SOS of address change, speeding and possession of cannabis. Hayes, of 1514 Harrison St. in Algonquin, was taken into custody at Route 31 and Arrowhead Drive in Algonquin. He was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court in McHenry County.

9:23 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Cipriano Diaz-Bahena, 38, for no valid driver's license and disregarding a traffic control signal. Diaz-Bahena, of 476 Margaret Terrace in Cary, was taken into custody at Route 62 and Harrison Street in Algonquin. Diaz-Bahena was released on a personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on Nov. 28 in McHenry County.

11:04 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Cipriano Diaz-Bahena, 38, on a warrant out of Lake County for failure to appear on a DUI charge at Route 62 and Harrison Street in Algonquin. He was transported to McHenry County to await pick up by Lake County when unable to post bond.

2:40 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Cheryl A. Landry, 37, on a warrant out of Kane County for failure to appear on traffic offenses. Landry of Elgin was arrested in the 100 block of Village Creek Drive in Lake in the Hills. He was later released on bond. LITH Police also arrested a 17-year-old Elgin girl on a warrant out of Kane County for shoplifting. She was transported to the Kane County Sheriff.

4:06 p.m.: LITH Police received a report of two iPods that were taken from a locked vehicle at some point overnight in the 500 block of Wright Drive in Algonquin. The report was turned over to investigations.

6:14 p.m.: LITH Police received a report of two sets of keys and cell phone that was taken from Moretti's, 220 N. Randall Road, at some point overnight. The report was under investigation by the reporting officer.

Oct. 29

11:55 a.m.: LITH Police received a report of several items removed from a vehicle in the 5500 block of Alexandria Drive in LITH. The report was turned over to investigations.

2:01 p.m.: LITH Police arrested Linda K. Wunar, 38, at Algonquin Road and Scottie Avenue in Lake in the Hills for driving while license suspended, suspended registration, expired registration and no valid insurance. Wunar, of 1382 Cunat Court Apt. 3B in LITH, was later released on bond.

4:10 p.m.: LITH Police arrested Edward P. Bolen, 49, on a warrant for violation of a court order bond in the first block of Margate Court. Bolen of Marengo was later released on bond.

4:30 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 15-year-old Algonquin boy at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive in Algonquin, and charged him with battery. The boy was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released him into the custody of his parents.

4:57 p.m.: LITH Police arrested a 17-year-old LITH boy for possession of drug paraphernalia in the 2800 block of Briarcliff Lane in LITH. He was later released to his parents.

Oct. 30

10:49 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 17-year-old Algonquin girl at Jacobs High School, 2601 Bunker Hill Drive in Algonquin, and charged her with battery. She was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of her parents.

1:51 p.m.: LITH Police arrested Steven T. Smith, 52, in the 10 block of Clark Avenue in LITH for aggravated assault. Smith, of 19 Clark Avenue in LITH, was taken to the McHenry County Jail.

5:52 p.m.: LITH Police arrested Daniel I. Nieto, 21, of Elgin for driving while license suspended and speeding. Nieto was later released on bond.

6:36 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Vincent L. Emory, 18, at Randall Road and Huntington Drive in Algonquin. Emory, of 1315 Washington St. in Lake in the Hills, was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Dec. 12 in McHenry County.

Oct. 31

2:39 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Nikalaus Wendel, 18, for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. Wendel, of 216 Wander Way in LITH, was arrested at High Hill Park, 501 Kirkland Drive in Algonquin. He was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Nov. 28 in McHenry County.

10:55 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 16-year-old LITH boy for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken into custody in the 700 block of South Randall Road in Algonquin. He was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his mother.

Nov. 1

1:28 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Colleen L. Bagley, 37, for possession of drug paraphernalia, no front plate, no driver's license on person, no proof of insurance and following too closely. Bagley of Elgin was wanted on a warrant out of Kane County for failure to appear on a possession of a controlled substance charge and was taken into custody at LaFox River Drive and Center Street in Algonquin. She was taken to Kane County Jail after posting $150 on the Algonquin charges and is next expected in court on Dec. 5 in McHenry County.

9:30 a.m.: LITH Police arrested Kevin M. Kniesal, 26, in the 1500 block of Clayton Marsh Drive in LITH on warrant for a sex offender registration violation and a failure to report a change of address. He was turned over to McHenry County Jail.

3:06 p.m.: LITH Police arrested Brian C. Hernandez, 24, in the 700 block of Mohican Trail in LITH, on a warrant out of McHenry County for failure to appear for criminal damage to property and another warrant for theft. Hernandez, of 701 Mohican Trail in LITH, was turned over to the McHenry County Jail.

6:56 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Robert A. Pudlik, 47, at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive in Algonquin, on a warrant out of Kane County for contempt of court. Pudlik of Streamwood was released after posting $350 and is next expected in court on Dec. 5 in Kane County.
