Crime Reports: Fire in LITH; Woman Arrested for DUI, Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid Accident

Algonquin and Lake in the Hills police department reports from the past week.

The Algonquin and Lake in the Hills crime reports contain basic information on incident and arrest reports provided to Patch.com by the Algonquin Police Department and Lake in the Hills Police Department.

Jan. 8

8:42 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Edwin G. Clausen, 43, at Algonquin Road and Wentworth Drive in Algonquin for driving under the influence, driving under influence over, improper lane use and no proof of insurance. Clausen, of 4671 Whitehall Lane in Algonquin, was released on personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court on Feb. 19 in McHenry County.

12:53 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 17-year-old Algonquin girl in the 600 block of Webster Street in Algonquin for reporting of a domestic battery, obstructing a peace officer and resisting a peace officer. She was petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of her father. 

Jan. 9

12:16 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Damian B. Brock, 22, at Randall Road and Algonquin Road in Algonquin for driving while license suspended, improper use of registration and no proof of insurance. Brock, of 101 Woody Way in Lake in the Hills, was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Feb. 13 in McHenry County.

12:41 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Julian M. Torres, 19, at Algonquin Road and Randall Road in Algonquin for possession of marijuana. Torres of Carpentersville was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Feb. 27 in Algonquin. 

12:02 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Edwin G. Clausen, 43, at Whitey's Towing, 710 Eastgate Road in Crystal Lake, on two counts of domestic battery. Clausen, of 4671 Whitehall Lane in Algonquin, was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

2:19 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police responded to the 8700 block of Pyott Road in Lake in the Hills for a report of a theft. Several items were taken from two storage units. The reports was turned over to investigations. 

Jan. 10

1:17 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Megan R. Lyons, 29, in the 300 block of Council Trail in Lake in the Hills on two counts of domestic battery. Lyons, of 3 Chadwick Court in LITH, was turned over to McHenry County Jail. 

1:20 a.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Christina D. Rehm, 21, at Harrison Street and Washington Street in Algonquin for failure to reduce speed to avoid accident, failure to give information, leaving the scene of an accident, improper turn, driving under the influence and driving under influence over. Rehm, of 775 Concord Court in Algonquin, was released after posting $100 and her Illinois Driver's License. He is next expected in court on Feb. 6 in McHenry County. 

10:09 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Eleazar A. Matus, 22, at Algonquin Road and Hilltop Drive in Lake in the Hills for driving while license suspended, expired registration and operating motor vehicle with registration suspended for non-insurance. Matus, of 5 Elizabeth Court in LITH, was later released on bond. 

12:50 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Jose M. Limas, 20, at Algonquin Road and South Harrison Street in Algonquin for driving while license suspended, no proof of insurance and using a cell phone in a construction zone. Limas of Carpentersville was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Feb. 20 in McHenry County. 

Jan. 11

3:57 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Allen J. Maslo, 21, at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive in Algonquin, on a warrant out of Cole County for disorderly conduct. Maslo, of 1270 White Chapel Lane in Algonquin, was released after posting $300 and is next expected in court on Feb. 13 in Cole County. 

4:25 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Jacob R. Dustman, 19, at The Guitar Center, 195 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, for theft under $300. Dustman, of 722 Concord Drive in Crystal Lake, was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Feb. 13 in McHenry County. 

5:25 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested Valentyna Shpachenko, 45, at Kohl's 734 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, for retail theft and criminal trespass to real property. Shpachenko of Schaumburg was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Feb. 20 in McHenry County. 

6:03 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police responded to the 400 block of Windermere Way in Lake in the Hills for a report of a residential burglary. A television was taken from a home at some point during the day. The report was under investigation for a reporting officer. 

Jan. 12

5:42 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Brian E. Dierking, 22, in the 10 block of Acorn Lane in Lake in the Hills for driving under the influence and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Dierking, of 730 Timberwood in Algonquin, was later released on bond. 

3:31 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Hugo T. Duran, 35, at Bucky's, 101 Pyott Road in Lake in the Hills, for no valid driver's license, obstructed windshield and window tint violation. Duran of Palatine was later released on bond. 

11:59 a.m.: Lake in the Hills Police responded to the 800 block of McPhee Drive in Lake in the Hills to assist the fire department with a structure fire. 

8:40 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 17-year-old Algonquin boy at Jacobs High School, 2601 Bunker Hill Drive in Algonquin, for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. The boy was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Feb. 27 in Algonquin. 

10:17 p.m.: Algonquin Police arrested a 16-year-old Lake in the Hills boy at Jacobs High School, 2601 Bunker Hill Drive in Algonquin, for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his mother. 

Jan. 13

5:48 p.m.: Lake in the Hills Police arrested Joseph D. Wilson, 35, at Randall Road and Acorn Lane in Lake in the Hills for driving while license suspended, no insurance and driving without headlamps when required. Wilson, of 1916 Crystal Lake Road in Cary, was later released on bond.
