Cary Man Charged With Public Intoxication After Swim in Fox River

When cops caught up to the man in the river they reported he was out of breath but did not require medical attention, according to the Northwest Herald.

A 34-year-old Cary man who tried to swim across the Fox River Wednesday afternoon was eventually pulled from the waterway by police and charged with public intoxication, according to the Northwest Herald.

Local police were initially called to a home in the 1100 block of Lincoln Avenue just before 1 p.m. Wednesday for reports of people yelling obscenities, and police said Christopher Brady left the house before cops could arrive and made his way into the river, according to the article.
