Car Hits Algonquin Wendy's

The accident caused more than $1,600 in damage.

Algonquin remains open after a car crashed into the side of the building Monday afternoon.

Police say a 16-year-old girl from Carpentersville was trying to pull into a parking stall to the right of a parked car when she mistakenly hit the gas pedal instead of the brake. Her vehicle struck both the parked car and the side of the restaurant.

No one was hurt in the incident and no citations were issued.
