LITH Man Arrested for Impersonating Officer, Fleeing, Drunken Driving

The Lake in the Hills Police Department reports and arrests from Friday through Monday.

Impersonating a Police Officer

Police arrested a 47-year-old Lake in the Hills man in the 1000 block of McPhee Drive at 11:01 p.m. Friday for impersonating a police officer as well as several other charges. The additional charges include: aggravated fleeing and eluding, two counts of disorderly conduct, driving under the influence of alcohol, two counts of disobeying a traffic control device, improper lane use and speeding. The man was taken to McHenry County Jail. 

Driving While License Suspended

Police arrested a 51-year-old Crystal Lake man for driving while license suspended at the Super Wash, 2200 W. Algonquin Road, at 1:34 p.m. Friday. He was later released on bond.

Police arrested a 48-year-old Rockwood, Mich., man at Randall Road and Alexandria Boulevard around 11:47 p.m. Friday on the following charges: driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with breath alcohol content over .08, disobeying a traffic control device and illegal transportation of alcohol. He was later released on bond. 

Battery at Moretti's

Police responded to , 220 N. Randall Road, at 2:49 a.m. Friday for a report of a male struck in the face. The battery report is under investigation. 

Hit and Run

Police received a hit and run report at 2:49 a.m. Friday at Randall Road and Acorn Lane. There was a telephone pole lying on the side of the roadway. The hit and run is under investigation. 

Drunken Driving Arrest

Lake in the Hills police arrested a 35-year-old Lake in the Hills woman at Randall and Algonquin roads at 12:56 a.m. Saturday for the following charges: Driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol content over .08, improper lane use, improper turn at an intersection, failure to give signal and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. She was later released on bond.

Drunken Driving Arrest

Police arrested a 24-year-old Elgin man at , 101 N. Randall Road, at 3:50 a.m. Saturday for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with breath alcohol content over .08 and disobeying a traffic control device. He was later released on bond. 

Hit and Run

Police received a report of a hit and run in the 4000 block of Heron Drive at 9:22 a.m. Saturday. An unknown vehicle struck a parked vehicle. 

Drunken Driving Arrest

Police arrested a 56-year-old LITH man at Albrecht and Miller roads at 12:59 a.m. Sunday for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with a breath alcohol content over .08, speeding over 40 miles per hour over the limit, speeding and no insurance. The man was later released on bond. 

Criminal Trespassing to Residence

Police arrested four area teens in the 4500 block of Barharbor Drive at 9:11 a.m. Sunday for criminal trespassing to a residence. The following charges were brought against the teens: 

  • Police arrested a 17-year-old Huntley boy for criminal trespassing to a residence and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was issued a notice to appear and was released to a parent.
  • A 17-year-old Huntley boy was arrested for criminal trespassing to a residence. He was ordered to appear for a peer jury and later released to a parent. 
  • A 16-year-old LITH boy was arrested for criminal trespassing to a residence. 
  • A 15-year-old LITH girl was arrested for criminal trespassing to a residence. She was ordered to appear before a peer jury and later released to a parent. 

Retail Theft/Wanted on a Warrant

Police arrested a 29-year-old McHenry woman at , 101 N. Randall Road, at 7:38 p.m. Sunday for retail theft and on two warrants. Two of the warrants were out of Missouri for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and possession of hypodermic needles. She was taken to McHenry County Jail. 

Battery

Police received a report Sunday at 4:05 a.m. of a battery between two men at Moretti's. 

Domestic Battery

Police responded to Cigarettes Depot, 162 N. Randall Road, for a report of a domestic battery between a mom and daughter. The report is under investigation. 

Telephone Harassment

Police received a report from a juvenile female in LITH at 6:59 p.m. Sunday who reported receiving threatening text messages. The report is under investigation.
