Speeding 40 MPH

Police arrested Eleazar A. Matus, 22, for speeding over 40 mph and expired registration at 10:21 p.m. on July 31 at Randall Road and Corporate Parkway in Algonquin. He was released after posting $200 and is next expected in court in McHenry County on Sept. 12. 

Domestic Battery

Police arrested Grant Terrell, 54, for domestic battery at 5:44 p.m. on Aug. 1 at 825 Elm Street in Algonquin. He was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

Retail Theft

Police arrested Katelyn R. Otten, 21, for retail theft at , 400 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, at 6:58 p.m. on Aug. 1. She was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Aug. 29 in Algonquin. 

Underage Drinking

Police arrested Omar Montiel-Toto, 20, for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and obstructing a peace officer at 2:36 a.m. on Aug. 2 at 1510 Meghan Avenue in Algonquin. He was released on a personal recognizance bond and is next expected in court in Kane County on Aug. 30. 

Warrant out of McHenry County

Police arrested Ronald E. Alaspa, 40, on a warrant out of McHenry County for harassment by telephone at 3:46 p.m. on Aug. 3 at the , 2200 Harnish Drive in Algonquin. Alaspa, of 1023 Canterfield Drive in West Dundee, was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Aug. 15 in McHenry County. 

Driving While License Revoked, Speeding

Police arrested Edgar Martinez, 21, for driving while licenses revoked, speeding, no proof of insurance and disregarding a stop sign at 10:13 p.m. on Aug. 3 at Gillilan Court and High Point Ridge in Algonquin. Martinez, of 148 Golfview Apt. A in Carpentersville, was released after posting $150. He is next expected in court on Sept. 5 in McHenry County. 

Driving Under the Influence

Police arrested Scott A. Garner Jr., 20, for driving under the influence, speeding and failure to use the right side of the roadway at 11:15 p.m. on Aug. 3 at Wynnfield Drive and Stonegate Road in Algonquin. He was released on a personal recognizance board after posting his Illinois Driver's License. He is next expected in court on Sept. 12 in McHenry County. 

Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance

Police arrested Arkadiusz W. Szyda, 29, for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia at 2:32 a.m. on Aug. 4 at , 400 S. Randall Road. He was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

Curfew Violation

Police arrested a 15-year-old Algonquin girl for curfew violation at 5:27 a.m. on Aug. 6 at Sleepy Hollow Road and Highmeadow Lane in Algonquin. She was informally station adjusted and then released into the custody of her parents. 

LAKE IN THE HILLS BLOTTER

Warrant

Police arrested Ashley Martinez, 27, at 1:36 p.m. on Aug. 1 at Randall Road and Stonegate Road in Lake in the Hills on a warrant out of the Kane County Sheriff's Office for violation of bail bond charges. Martinez of Chicago was later released on bond. 

Driving While License Suspended

Police arrested Alcindo Garcia, 34, at 12:25 a.m. on Aug. 1 at Randall Road and McHenry Avenue for driving while license suspended and speeding in a construction zone. Alcindo, of 589 Darlington Lane Unit 16 in Crystal Lake, was released on bond. 

Theft

Police received a report of a theft of a long board and bicycle at 5:14 p.m. on Aug. 2 in the 300 block of Melbourne Lane in Lake in the Hills. The report was turned over to investigations. 

DUI

Police arrested William S. Wegener, 44, at 2:25 a.m. on Aug. 2 at Rakow Road and Virginia Road in Lake in the Hills for driving under the influence of alcohol, disobeying a traffic control device and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Wegener of Elgin was later released on bond. 

No Valid Driver's License

Police arrested Louis M. Parler, 25, for no valid driver's license and driving with no headlights at 1:24 a.m. on Aug. 4 at Randall Road and Acorn Lane in Lake in the Hills. Parler, of 525 Canerfield Parkway W in West Dundee, was released on bond. 

No Valid Driver's License

Police arrested Victor A. Lopez, 26, for no valid driver's license and improper lane usage at 1:24 a.m. on Aug. 4 at Randall Road and Algonquin Road in Algonquin. Lopez, of 710 Virginia Ave. in Crystal Lake, was released on bond. 

Domestic Battery

Police arrested Zareena M. Ahmed, 40, on two counts of domestic battery in the 1100 block of Ridgewood Circle in Lake in the Hills on Aug. 4. She was taken to McHenry County Jail. 

Theft

Police received a report hat 10:11 a.m. on Aug. 4 that a television was stolen in the 700 block of Mohican Trail. The report is under investigation by the reporting officer. 

Theft

Police received a report at 11:02 a.m. on Aug. 4 that a stern drive was stolen in the 8300 block of Pingree Road. The report was turned over to investigations. 

DUI

Police arrested Arecnio D. Webb, 24, at 1:36 a.m. on Aug. 5 at Randall Road and Polaris Drive in Lake in the Hills for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence with a breath alcohol content greater than .08, improper lane usage and driving with no headlights. Webb, of 400 Wright Drive in Lake in the Hills, was later released on bond. 

Domestic Battery

Police arrested Francesca A. Cerasi, 19, at 12:43 p.m. on Aug. 5 in the first block of Princeton Court for two counts of domestic battery. Cerasi was taken to McHenry County Jail. 

Leaving the Scene of a Personal Injury Accident

Police arrested Cristie L. Karwec, 30, at 5:54 p.m. on Aug. 5 at , 2265 W. Algonquin Road in Lake in the Hills, for leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. A vehicle collided with a pedestrian. A 53-year-old man reported having elbow pain following the accident. Karwec, of 170 Lake Drive South,was later released on bond.
