Battery

Police arrested Reynaldo A. Gonzalez, 41, at 6:22 p.m. June 18 at 800 S. Randall Road, Algonquin, on charges of battery, disorderly conduct and consuming an alcoholic beverage on a public way. Gonzalez, of 131 Village Creek Drive, Lake in the Hills, was taken to McHenry County Jail when he was unable to post bond. 

Warrant Arrest

Algonquin police arrested Brian J. Massaro, 29, at 8:10 p.m. June 20 on a Kane County warrant for domestic battery. Massaro, of 650 Braewood Drive, Algonquin, was taken to McHenry County Jail to await transport to Kane County. 

Underage Drinking

Police arrested Samuel G. Schiesser, 20, at 10:02 p.m. June 20 at his home, 110 S. Oakleaf Court, on a charge of unlawful consumption of alcohol by minor. Schiesser was taken to McHenry County Jail when he was unable to post bond. 

Underage Drinking

Police arrested two area teens for underage drinking in the 400 block of Tenby Way in Algonquin at 3:25 a.m. June 21. 

  • Shane S. Thorelius, 18, of 510 Tenby Way, Algonquin, was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. 
  • Matthew R. Marruzza, 19, of 708 Pimlico Parkway, Sleepy Hollow, was charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol. 

Both teens were released on a notice to appear. They are next expected in court on July 25 in Algonquin. 

Warrant Arrest

Police arrested Sterling G. Smith, 23, at 2:49 a.m. at Randall and Algonquin roads on two Kane County warrants for failure to appear on a criminal trespassing to residence charge and on a criminal damage to property charge. Smith, of 2800 East Bridal Way, Carpentersville, was taken to Kane County Jail when he was unable to post bond.

LAKE IN THE HILLS BLOTTER

Theft Under $300

Police arrested a 17-year-old Algonquin boy for theft under $300 at Park N Shop Food, 4581 Princeton Lane, Lake in the Hills, at 11:57 a.m. June 21. The boy was turned over to a parent. 

Warrant Arrest

Police arrested Deonte J. McFadden, 22, at 2:22 p.m. June 21 in the 1000 block of Horizon Ridge on a Kane County warrant for dangerous drugs. McFadden, of Elgin, later was released on bond.

Driving While License Revoked

Police arrested Enrique Perez, 43, at 7:56 p.m. June 21 at Trinity Drive and Virginia Road on charges of driving while license revoked and disobeying a traffic-control device (no left turn). Perez, of Elgin, later was released on bond. 

Fraud

Police responded to Walgreens, 100 N. Randall Road, Lake in the Hills, at 3:49 p.m. June 21 for a report of fraud and unlawful acquisition of a prescription drug. The report is under investigation by Lake in the Hills police.

Dog Bite

Police responded to the 400 block of Meadow Lane for a domestic disturbance at 11:30 p.m. June 21. The officer reportedly was bitten by a dog. 

Warrant Arrest

Police arrested Jarrett L. Lopez, 26, at 5:26 a.m. June 20 at Route 31 and Rakow Road on a McHenry County warrant for failure to appear on a driving while license revoked charge. Lopez, of 1420 Windsor Circle, Carpentersville, was turned over to the McHenry County Jail. 

Warrant Arrest

Police arrested Jose Delagado, 35, at 7:41 a.m. June 20 at Virginia Road and Trinity Drive on a Carpentersville Police Department warrant for failure to appear for possession of a firearm without a firearm owner’s identification card. He also was arrested on charges of driving while license suspended, disregarding a traffic-control device and no insurance. Delagado, of 46 Sparrow Road, Carpentersville, was released on bond. 

No Valid License

Police arrested Loya Fernando, 41, at 5:01 p.m. June 20 at Route 31 and Virginia Road on charges of no valid Illinois license, disregarding a traffic-control device and no insurance. Fernando, of 2126 Morningside Circle, Carpentersville, was released on bond. 

No Valid License

Police arrested Regulo Martinez, 25, at 3:37 p.m. June 19 at Virginia Road and Trinity Drive on charges of no valid Illinois license, disobeying a traffic-control device and no insurance. Martinez, of 636 Coventry Lane, was released on bond.
