Blotter: Teens Arrested on Drug Charges; Drunken Driving Arrests

Lake in the Hills Police Department reports for Wednesday through Sunday.

Driving Under the Influence

A 31-year-old Island Lake man was pulled over in the area of Randall Road and Ackman Road around 2:39 a.m. Sunday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol level over .08, driving without insurance and speeding. He was later released on bond.

A 48-year-old Crystal Lake woman was pulled over in the area of Algonquin Road and Harvest Gate around 5:22 p.m. Sunday and arrested on drunken driving charges. The charges filed include improper lane usage, driving while license revoked, illegal transportation of alcohol, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol, aggravated driving under the influence - license revoked and aggravated driving while license revoked. He was transported to McHenry County Jail.

A 54-year-old Huntley man was pulled over in the area of Algonquin Road and Harvest Gate around 5:38 p.m. Sunday and arrested on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was later released on bond. 

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

Police received a report of criminal damage to property around 7:19 p.m. Sunday. A tailgate was kicked in on a truck in the 100 block of Harvest Gate. 

Theft

A BMX-style bike was taken from a yard in the 100 block of Village Creek Drive around 8:03 p.m. Sunday. 

No Valid Driver's License

A 19-year-old Algonquin man was pulled over in the area of Algonquin Road and Hilltop Drive around 11:05 a.m. Satruday. He was arrested for having no valid driver's license, no insurance, improper display of registration and no valid registration. He was later released on bond. 

Criminal Damage to Property

A 14-year-old Lake in the Hills boy was arrested at , 5200 Miller Road,  around 8:42 p.m. Saturday for criminal damage to property. He was later released to a parent.

Possession of Cannabis

A 16-year-old Lake in the Hills boy was arrested at the , 4500 W. Algonquin Road, around 8:56 p.m. Saturday for possession of marijuana more than 30 grams but not more than 500 grams. He was later released to a parent.

Speeding

A 19-year-old Crystal Lake man was pulled over in the area of Randall Road and Acorn Lane around 10:16 p.m. Saturday for speeding — 40 miles over the speed limit. He was later released on bond. 

Drugs Charges

 Lake in the Hills police arrested two area teens on drug charges Friday after pulling them over in the area of Lakewood Road and Spencer Place around 5:26 p.m. Friday. A 17-year-old was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana less than 2.5 grams and expired registration, and a 14-year-old Huntley boy was arrested for possession of cannabis—less than 2.5 grams. 

Theft

Lake in the Hills police conducted a follow-up arrest of a 15-year-old Huntley man who was arrested at the , 1115 Crystal Lake Road, around 4:03 p.m. Friday on a theft charge. He was later released to a parent. 

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

Golf clubs were reportedly taken from a vehicle overnight Thursday in the 1000 block of Heavens Gate. The report was made to police at 12:03 p.m. Friday and turned over to investigations. 

Battery

Police were called to , 220 N. Randall Road, around 2:59 a.m. Thursday for a report of two males fighting. A 23-year-old male who was highly intoxicated was taken to Sherman Hospital. 

Criminal Damage to Property

A window was damaged in the 3000 block of Henry Lane. Police were called around 3:18 p.m. Thursday regarding the criminal damage to property. The report was turned over to investigations. 

Battery

Police conducted a follow-up arrest Wednesday at the of a 25-year-old Lake in the Hills woman on a battery charge. She was later released on bond.
