Violation of Order of Protection

Police arrested Bryan W. Smith, 47, at 9:25 p.m. May 28 at the , 2200 Harnish Drive, Algonquin, on a charge of violating an order of protection. Smith, of 11 Woodland Drive, Lake in the Hills, was taken to McHenry County Jail where he was unable to post bond.

Unlawful Sale of Alcohol to a Minor

Police arrested Marcos S. Hernandez, 39, at 11:50 a.m. May 29 at the , 2200 Harnish Drive, Algonquin, on a charge of unlawful sale of alcohol to a minor. Hernandez, of 790 Circle Drive in Algonquin, was released on a notice to appear. He is expected in court in Algonquin on June 27.

Warrant for Deceptive Practice

Police arrested Philip J. Casale, 54, at 1:20 p.m. May 30 at the , 2200 Harnish Drive, Algonquin, on a Kane County warrant for deceptive practices. Casale, of Bartlett, was released after posting a $1,500 bond. He is expected in court June 22 in McHenry County. 

Domestic Battery

Police arrested Nello J. Lucchesi, 55, at 11:12 p.m. May 30 at his home, 502 Greens View Drive, Algonquin, on a charge of domestic battery. Lucchesi was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.

Lake in the Hills Police Blotter

Battery at Moretti's

Police arrested two Crystal Lake men at Moretti's at 3:17 a.m. June 1. Alberto Garcia, 24, of 517 Charlotte Ave., Crystal Lake, was arrested on a battery charge and later was released on bond. Kevin Strauss, 28, of 115 N. Dole Ave., Crystal Lake, also was arrested on a battery charge and later was released on bond. 

Battery Complaint at Marlowe

Police responded to Marlowe Middle School, 9625 Haligus Road, Lake in the Hills, at 5:42 p.m. June 1, to investigate a battery complaint. That complaint is under investigation by the reporting officer. 

Domestic Battery

Police arrested John A. Glasper, 32, in the 300 block of Village Creek Drive in Lake in the Hills on two counts of domestic battery. Glasper, of 336 Village Creek Drive, was turned over to the McHenry County Jail. 

Injury Accident/DUI

Sara J. Jacobson, 20, faces drunken-driving charges after a one-vehicle accident in the 1100 block of Pyott Road at 1:52 a.m. May 30. A vehicle collided with a tree and one person was transported to Sherman Hospital after the crash. Jacobson, of 902 Nevin Ave., Algonquin, was charged with driving while under the influence of alcohol, driving off the roadway and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. She later was released on bond.

Theft

Police arrested three area teens at , 81 N. Randall Road, Lake in the Hills, at 11:15 a.m. May 30. 

  • Cody J. Dunkleberger, 19, of 1172 Woodcreek Drive, Huntley, was charged with theft and later was released on bond. 
  • A 17-year-old Huntley boy was charged with theft and released to a parent.
  • A 16-year-old Huntley boy was charged with theft and released to a parent. 

Domestic Battery

Police arrested Vanessa L. Hanks, 27, on two count of battery in the 40 block of Hilltop Drive in Lake in the Hills at 11:59 p.m. May 30. Hanks, of Woodstock, was turned over to McHenry County Jail.
