Domestic Battery, Aggravated Assault
Police arrested Steven D. Joyner, 27, of 9575 S. Route 31, Algonquin, at 8:43 p.m. April 30 at his home on charges of felony domestic battery and two counts of aggravated assault. He was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.
Unlawful Possession of Explosives
Police arrested John J. LaGrippe, 46, at 2:45 p.m. May 1 at the , 5200 Harnish Drive, on charges of unlawful possession of explosives and two counts of endangering the life of a child. He was released after posting $2,000 and is expected in court May 10 in McHenry County.
Retail Theft
Police arrested Ashlyn T. Bosley, 19, at , 1410 S. Randall Road, at 8:06 p.m. May 1 on a charge of retail theft. Bosley, of Gilberts, was released on a notice to appear and is expected in court May 30 in Algonquin.
Criminal Damage to Property, Reckless Conduct
Police arrested Matthew J. Manarpaac, 32, at Fire Bar & Grill, 435 Angela Lane, Crystal Lake, at 12:10 a.m. May 2 on charges of criminal damage to property and reckless conduct. Manarpaac, of 1445 Menoma Trail, Algonquin, was released after posting $150. He is expected in court on June 3 in McHenry County.
Possession or Storage of Weapon on School Grounds
Police arrested a 16-year-old Carpentersville girl at , 2601 Bunker Hill Drive, Algonquin, at 9:32 a.m. May 2 on a charge of unauthorized possession or storage of a weapon on school grounds. The girl was petitioned into juvenile court and then released to the custody of her mother.
Retail Theft
Police arrested Deborah J. McGovern, 54, at 2:44 p.m. May 2 at , 734 S. Randall Road, on a charge of retail theft. She was released on a notice to appear and is expected in court May 30 in Algonquin.
Possession of Marijuana
Police arrested Adam D. Dietrich, 18, at 5:31 p.m. May 2 in the 1400 block of County Line Road in Algonquin. Dietrich, of 6920 Zachary Drive, Carpentersville, was released after posting $150. He is expected in court June 13 in McHenry County.
Retail Theft
Police arrested Jolynn M. Stack, 20, at 4:26 p.m. May 3 at , 734 S. Randall Road, Algonquin, on a charge of retail theft. Stack, of 304 Bayberry Drive, Algonquin, was released on a notice to appear and is expected in court May 30 in Algonquin.

Underage Drinking Arrests
Police arrested four teens for underage drinking at 10:50 p.m. May 5 at Wedgewood Circle and Annandale Drive in Lake in the Hills. Police took into custody:
- A 16-year-old Lake in the Hills boy on a charge of unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was issued a notice to appear and released to a parent.
- Anthony M. Carriaga, 19, of 9 Wedgewood Circle in Lake in the Hills on a charge of unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was given a notice to appear.
- Police arrested Justin W. Ziemer, 19, of 370 Steeple Chase Way in Lake in the Hills, on a charge of unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was issued a notice to appear.
- Cody R. Tyler, 19, of 6 Crossview Court in Lake in the Hills, on a charge of unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was given a notice to appear.
Hit and Run
Police received a report at 11:36 p.m. May 5 of a hit and run in the 300 block of Tecumseh Trail. A vehicle was struck and the offender left the scene.
Criminal Damage to Property
Police arrested a 17-year-old Lake in the Hills boy in the 400 block of Plum Street at 9:09 p.m. May 3. The boy was charged with criminal damage to property and turned over to Kane County.
Aggravated Assault
Police conducted a follow-up arrest at 3:12 p.m. May 3 in the first block of Sussex Court and took into custody Phillip T. Faurout on two counts of aggravated assault. Faurout, of 3140 Montrose, Lake in the Hills, was released on bond.
Criminal Damage to Property
Police received a report at 7:32 p.m. May 3 in the 4200 block of Greenfield Lane in Lake in the Hills regarding damage to a mailbox, garage door and vehicle from a BB gun.
Criminal Damage to Property
Police received a report at 6:06 p.m. May 3 in the 3100 block of Montrose Drive in Lake in the Hills regarding damage to a vehicle from an Airsoft gun.
Warrant Arrest; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Police arrested two area men on separate charges at Randall Road and Polaris Drive at 2:34 p.m. May 2. Police arrested Douglas J. Hampton, 30, of 4325 Barharbor Drive, Lake in the Hills, on a Kane County warrant for a traffic offense. He was turned over to the McHenry County Jail. Police also took into custody Kenneth R. Campbell, 30, of 350 Lee Drive, Crystal Lake, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and speeding. He later was released on bond.
Criminal Damage to a Vehicle
Police conducted a follow-up arrest in the first block of Sussex Court at 8:50 p.m. May 2 and took into custody Alexander J. Robson, 18, of 9921 Bedford Drive, Huntley, on a charge of criminal damage to a vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was turned over to McHenry County Jail.
Home Burglary
Police conducted a follow-up arrest in the first block of Sussex Court at 8:50 p.m. May 2 and took into custody Alexander J. Robson, 18, of 9921 Bedford Drive, Huntley, on charges of criminal damage to a vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was turned over to McHenry County Jail.
Hit and Run
Police received a report of a hit and run at Austin Construction, 14 Prosper Court, at 5:59 p.m. May 2. A vehicle was struck and the offender left the scene.
