Blotter: Curfew Violation; Vehicle Burglaries Reported

The Lake in the Hills Police Department responded to the following reports from Tuesday and Wednesday.

ARRESTS: Lake in the Hills police made the following arrests Tuesday and Thursday.

Curfew Violation

Lake in the Hills police arrested a 16-year-old Round Lake Beach boy on a curfew violation in the area of Algonquin Road and Frank Road about 12:03 a.m. Tuesday.

The boy was issued a notice to appear in court and was released to his parents.

Graffiti Reported

LITH police received a call at 7:13 a.m. Tuesday about graffiti on the playground equipment at Nature's View Park, 3866 Sonoma Circle.

Accident

A two-vehicle accident was reported at the 7-Eleven, 4500 W. Algonquin Road, about 3:47 p.m. Tuesday. No one was injured. Property was damaged in the crash.

Bicycle Injury

An ambulance was called to the area of Heartland Gate and Miller Road about 4:46 p.m. Tuesday to assist a 40-year-old woman who fell from her bicycle. She was taken to Sherman Hospital.

Golf Cart Accident

A golf cart struck a vehicle in the 1100 block of Ridgewood Circle about 7:06 p.m. Tuesday. LITH police were called to take a report for insurance purposes.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle

LITH police are investigating a report of a rear window that was damaged at Provena, 2250 W. Algonquin Road, about 9:34 p.m. Tuesday.

Accident

A two-vehicle accident was reported near Miller and Randall roads about 9:41 p.m. Tuesday. No one was reportedly injured. Property was damaged in the crash.

Domestic

A domestic disturbance between a husband and a wife was reported in the 400 block of East Oak Street about 10:38 p.m. Tuesday.

Burglaries to Motor Vehicles

Lake in the Hills police responded to two separate reports of burglaries to motor vehicles in the 1000 block of Viewpoint Drive that likely occurred either late Tuesday or early Wednesday. 

The first was reported at 9:25 a.m. Wednesday. During that burglary, a GPS, phone charger and laptop were reported taken over night.

The second was reported at 9:37 a.m. A Sony Vaio laptop and a Cobra Radar Detector were taken.

The burglaries are under investigation with the LITH Police Department.

Criminal Damage to Property

Shingles were reportedly damaged and a hydrant left on at Larsen Island, 1111 Pyott Road. The criminal damage to property was reported about 9:55 a.m. Wednesday.

Ambulance Assist

An ambulance was called to the area of the Miller Road and Boulder Drive about 10:17 a.m. Wednesday for a report of a 47-year-old man who was found lying on the ground. The man was not transported to the hospital.

Fraud

Police received a complaint from a resident living in the first block of Barrington Court about wired money due to a fraudulent telephone call. The report is under investigation.

Accident

No one was injured in a three-vehicle crash near Randall Road and Polaris Drive about 8:09 p.m. Wednesday. Property was damaged in the crash.

Domestic

Police were called to the 4600 block of Mackinac Street about 9:32 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a verbal argument between a husband and wife.
