Blotter: Several Arrests Made Over Thanksgiving Weekend

Drunken driving, fights and criminal trespassing among some of the charges area residents face.

The provided information on the following reports from Thanksgiving Day through Sunday.

Criminal Trespassing, Battery Reports at Moretti's

  • A 21-year-old Algonquin man faces criminal trespassing charges for an incident that occurred at Moretti's, 220 N. Randall Road, around 3 a.m. Thanksgiving.
  • Police resonded to Moretti's, 220 N. Randall Road, for reports of two men fighting around 2:30 a.m. Thanksgiving and returned again at 3 a.m. for a report of one man punching another man. 

Driving While Suspended

Three people were arrested over the Thanksgiving weekend and face charges for driving with a suspended license.

  • A 19-year-old Gilberts woman was pulled over at 10 p.m. Thanksgiving at the corner of Miller Road and Heartland Gate. She faces charges of driving while suspended, expired registration and driving without valid insurance. 
  • A 22-year-old Carpentersville man faces charges for driving while suspended and speeding after being pulled over near the intersection of Algonquin and Square Barn roads around 4:30 p.m. Thanksgiving.
  • A 27-year-old McHenry man was pulled over at the intersection of Rakow Road and Route 31 around 3 p.m. Saturday and faces a driving while suspended charge. 

Drunke Driving Arrests

  • A 46-year-old Algonquin man was pulled over near Fairvew Drive and Nottingham Drive around 12:47 a.m. Thanksgiving. He was arrested on charges of drunken drivng and was also cited for failure to signal and speeding.
  • A 41-year-old Skokie woman who had an open alcohol container in her vehicle when pulled over at 12:11 a.m. Saturday faces drunken driving charges. The woman was pulled over near Rakow and Virginia roads. She also faces charges for driving with a suspended licenses and was cited for having no proof of valid insurance, improperly displaying registration and for having no rear registration plate light.
  • A 28-year-old Algonquin woman was pulled over near Rakow and Randall roads around 1:55 a.m. Sunday and arrested on drunken driving charges. She also faces charges for speeding.
