Blotter: Local Teens Arrested in Vehicle Burglaries

Police also responded to a residential burglary and made other arrests over Thursday and Friday.

Battery

A 23-year-old Union man was arrested in the first block of Tenneyson Court on a battery charge about 11:06 p.m. Thursday. He later was released on bond. 

Accident

A two-vehicle crash occurred near Reed Road and Annandale Drive about 5:06 p.m. Thursday. A driver in one of the vehicles was taken to Sherman Hospital for a leg injury.

Driving While License Suspended

A 34-year-old Carpentersville man was arrested near Algonquin Road and Cedar Ridge Drive about 12:47 a.m. Friday on a charge of driving while license suspended. He later was released on bond. 

Burglary from Motor Vehicle

Two Lake in the Hills teens were arrested early Friday on charges of burglary to a motor vehicles and curfew violation. Police arrested two girls, ages 13 and 14, in the 500 block of Cheyenne Drive, about 2:20 a.m. The girls each face four counts of burglary to a motor vehicle and a curfew violation. Both were released to their parents. 

No Valid Driver's License

A 15-year-old Lake in the Hills boy was arrested near Council and Seminole trails about 2:50 a.m. Friday on charges of no valid driver's license, operating an uninsured vehicle, driver's view obstructed and curfew violation. He later was released to a parent. 

Domestic Battery

Police responded to the 4300 block of Rolling Hills Drive about 11:57 a.m. Friday on a report of a domestic battery between a mom and her 17-year-old son. The son was transported to Sherman Hospital for an evaluation. 

Theft

Three reports of theft were made regarding items stolen from , 5200 Miller Road, on Friday afternoon. A gas grill, stem table and a toolbox reportedly were taken from the park. The theft reports are under investigation. 

Residential Burglary

A bicycle was reported stolen from the garage of a home in the 2000 block of Noelle Bend Street about 5:32 p.m. Friday. The burglary is under investigation. 

Identity Theft

A credit card belonging to someone living in the 5000 block of Princeton Lane was used without his or her knowledge. The identity theft complaint is under investigation. 

Injury Accident

A 36-year-old man was taken to Sherman Hospital after a one-vehicle crash at All Safe Self Storage, 8801 Pyott Road, about 6:26 p.m. Friday. 

Identity Theft

A complainant living in the 1300 block reported that his or her Social Security number was used for employment. The report was turned over to the Internal Revenue Service. 

Dog Bite

A dog bit a 12-year-old boy in the face in the first block of Grant Avenue about 8:17 p.m. Friday. Animal control was notified.

Battery

are investigating a battery report involving a 14-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy at , 5200 Miller Road, about 9:42 p.m. Friday. was under way at the park during that time.
