Blotter: Underage Drinking; Injury Accidents

The Lake in the Hills Police Department reports and arrests for Friday through Sunday.

Injury Accident

Lake in the Hills police responded to an accident at Pyott Road and Oak Street about 3:55 a.m. Sunday and arrested a 35-year-old Crystal Lake woman on a charge of driving without a driver's license. The vehicle in the crash collided with a guardrail. A 30-year-old woman was taken to Sherman Hospital with minor injuries. The 35-year-old woman later was released on bond. 

No Valid Driver's License

A 43-year-old Elgin woman was arrested near Randall Road and Acorn Lane about 3:45 p.m. Sunday on charges of driving without a valid driver's license, driving with an expired registration and driving without insurance. 

Battery

Police responded to , 220 N. Randall Road, about 2:11 a.m. for a report of a male and female battery complaint. 

Assist Ambulance

An ambulance was called to Moretti's for a report of a 31-year-old woman with a head injury about 3:37 a.m. Sunday. She was taken to Sherman Hospital. 

Burglary to Motor Vehicle

A laptop, bag and sunglasses reportedly were taken from a vehicle at Costco, 250 N. Randall Road. The burglary report, which was made about 6:25 a.m. Sunday, is under investigation. 

Assist Ambulance

An ambulance was called to Sunset Park, 9600 Haligus Road, about 2:31 p.m. Sunday for a report of a 28-year-old man with a possible broken leg. He was taken to Woodstock Memorial Hospital. 

Injury Accident

A 63-year-old man complaining of chest pains was taken to Woodstock Memorial Hospital after a one-vehicle crash near Haligus Road and Greenshire Circle about 5:30 p.m. Sunday. 

Injury Accident

Police responded to Randall Road and Acorn Lane about 6:19 p.m. Sunday for a report of a two-vehicle accident. A 58-year-old woman reported arm and neck pain but was not taken by an ambulance to the hospital. 

Underage Drinking

A 17-year-old Lake in the Hills boy was arrested in the 300 block of Village Creek Drive about 11:17 p.m. Saturday on a charge of unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor and given a notice to appear. He later was released to a parent. 

Hit and Run

A roadway sign was damaged near Cedar Ridge Drive and Algonquin Road about 7:31 a.m. Saturday by an unknown vehicle that then left the scene. 

Drunken Driving

A 34-year-old Crystal Lake man was arrested near Miller and Randall roads about 3:46 a.m. Friday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with blood-alcohol content over .08, improper lane use and driving without headlights. He later was released on bond. 

Underage Drinking Arrests

Lake in the Hills police responded to the 300 block of Village Creek Drive and arrested two teenagers on underage drinking charges about 10:46 p.m. Friday. A 16-year-old Algonquin girl and a 16-year-old Lake in the Hills girl were charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. They were both given notices to appear and released to their parents. 

Theft

A trolling motor was taken from a boat in the 60 block of Hilltop Drive. The theft was reported to police about 10:14 a.m. Friday. 

Criminal Defacement

Police received a report of graffiti spray-painted on the north wall of a structure at Larsen Island, 1111 Pyott Road, about 1:53 p.m. Friday. The report was turned over to investigations.
