Blotter: Injury Accidents; Drunk Driving; Teen Cited for Hosting Party

The Lake in the Hills Police Department police reports from the weekend.

Drunken Driving Arrests

  • A 27-year-old McHenry man was pulled over in the Costco parking lot, 250 N. Randall Road, around 1:44 a.m. Sunday. He was arrested on drunken driving charges and later released on bond. 
  • A 21-year-old Crystal Lake man was pulled over in the area of Randall Road and Acorn Lane around 2:18 a.m. Saturday. The man was arrested on a drunken driving charge and also cited for speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. He was later released on bond.
  • A 27-year-old Algonquin woman was pulled over in the area of Algonquin Road and Lake Drive around 2:54 a.m. Saturday. She was arrested on drunken driving charges and also cited for improper lane use. She was later released on bond. 

Injury Accident

A 31-year-old woman and a 17-year-old boy were taken to an area hospital following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Oakleaf and Algonquin roads around 12:10 p.m. Saturday. The woman was taken to the hospital for back pain and the teen was transported for a general evaluation.

Domestic Batter Arrest

A 25-year-old Hoffman Estates man was arrested in the 1300 block of Cunat Court around 5:18 p.m Sunday on two counts of domestic battery. He was taken to the McHenry County Jail.

Injury Accident

A 64-year-old woman was taken to an area hospital after being involved in a two vehicle crash at the intersection of Oakleaf and Algonquin roads around 4:08 p.m. Sunday. The woman was taken to the hospital for a general evaluation.

Criminal Damage to Property

A glass front door was broken at Auto Zone, 3 Crystal Lake Road, around 4:02 p.m. Saturday. A restitution agreement was made.

Violation of an Order of Protection

  • A 35-year-old Cary man was arrested in the 10 block of Gail Court Friday around 3:03 p.m. on three counts of unlawful violation of an order of protection. He was turned over to McHenry County Jail.
  • A 41-year-old Lake in the Hills man was arrested in the 5400 block of Crossview Lane around 8:04 p.m. for a violation of an order of protection charge. He was taken to McHenry County Jail.

Teen Cited for Hosting Underage Party

  • Lake in the Hills police ticketed a 16-year-old Lake in the Hills boy Friday for hosting an underage drinking party in the 1200 block of Maple Street. The teen was later released him to his parents.
