Blotter: Drunken Driving Arrests; Sex Offender Complaint

The Lake in the Hills Police Department responded to the following complaints and made the following arrests between Thursday and Sunday.

Warrant

A 16-year-old St. Charles boy was arrested in the 900 block of Viewpoint Drive about 12:28 p.m. Thursday on a warrant for a Kane County probation violation. He was transported to Kane County.

Criminal Defacement

LITH police were called about 10:46 a.m. Thursday for graffiti found on picnic tables at LeRoy Guy Park, 200 S. Annandale Drive. The criminal defacement is under investigation.

Fraud

Fraudulent activity on a debit card was reported at Steak & Shake, 211 N. Randall Road, about 12:28 p.m. Thursday. The fraud is under investigation.

Criminal Property Damage

Lake in the Hills police received a report at 9:44 p.m. Thursday that a vehicle that drove through the grass area behind Lake in the Hills Elementary School, 519 Willow St. The criminal damage to property report is under investigation.

Unlawful Residency of a Sex Offender

Lake in the Hills police are investigating the unlawful residency of a child sex offender in the first block of  West Acorn Lane after receiving a report Friday afternoon.

Criminal Property Damage

Police were called about 6:42 p.m. Friday about a fence that reportedly was spray painted in the first block of Manchester Court. The report is under investigation.

Ambulance Called

An ambulance was called to Ryder Park, 1216 Crystal Lake Road, about 7:01 p.m. Friday for a report of 15-year-old teen with an ankle injury. He was taken to Sherman Hospital.

Drunken Driving

A 29-year-old Algonquin woman was pulled over near Algonquin Road and Hilltop Drive about 2:22 a.m. Saturday. She was charged with drunken driving, speeding and transportation of open alcohol and later was released on bond.

Illegal Alcohol Consumption

An 18-year-old Carpentersville man was arrested near Viewpoint Drive and Pyott Road about 5:30 a.m. Saturday on charges of illegal consumption of alcohol. She was given a notice to appear in court.

Wanted on Warrant

A 16-year-old Lake in the Hills man was arrested about 10:39 a.m. Saturday on a warrant out of McHenry County for battery. He was turned over to McHenry County Jail.

Criminal Property Damage

Damage was done to a mailbox in the 1000 block of Viewpoint Drive and reported to police about 3:22 a.m. Saturday.

Accident

A vehicle and bicycle collided near Frank and Miller roads about 12:48 p.m. Saturday. No injuries were reported. Property was damaged in the accident.

Motor Vehicle Burglary

Items were removed from an unlocked vehicle in the first block of Heron Court. The burglary was reported to police at 6:49 p.m. Saturday. The report is under investigation.

Drunken Driving

A 21-year-old McHenry man was arrested in the area of Pyott and Rakow roads about 3:43 a.m. Sunday on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, speeding and driving without insurance.
