Blotter: Drunken Driving Arrests; Fishing Gear Stolen

The following reports were filed by the Lake in the Hills Police Department from Wednesday through Sunday.

ARRESTS: The Lake in the Hills Police Department made the following arrests between Wednesday and Sunday.

Driving While License Suspended

A 20-year-old man from Fargo, N.D., was pulled over near Oakleaf and Randall roads about 12:37 a.m. Sunday.

The man, who is not being named because charges have not been filed on McHenry County Court's public access website, was arrested on a charge of driving while license was suspended and cited with a headlight violation. He later was released on bond.

A 19-year-old Downers Grove man was pulled over in the 200 block of Randall Road about 2:23 a.m. Sunday.

He was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol, illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor, driving under the influence of alcohol with blood-alcohol level of more than .08, disobeying a traffic control device, no rear registration light and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. A 19-year-old Downers Grove man in the same vehicle also was cited with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and given a notice to appear in court.

The man, who is not being named because charges have not been filed on McHenry County Court's public access website, later was released on bond.

Driving Under the Influence

A 22-year-old Crystal Lake man was pulled over near Miller and Randall roads about 3:08 a.m. Sunday.

The man, who is not being named because charges have not been filed on McHenry County Court's public access website, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and speeding. He later was released on bond.

Driving Under the Influence

A 32-year-old Lake in the Hills man was pulled over at Willow Funeral Home, 1413 W. Algonquin Road, about 1:57 a.m. Saturday by Lake in the Hills police.

The man, who is not being named because charges have not been filed on McHenry County Court's public access website, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and no registration light. He later was released on  bond.

Wanted on Warrant

A 41-year-old Carpentersville man was pulled over near Route 31 and Klasen Road about 10:04 a.m. Saturday and was arrested on a warrant.

The man, who is not being named because charges have not been filed on McHenry County Court's public access website, was wanted on a Kane County warrant for driving under the influence of drugs. He was transported to McHenry County Jail.

Driving Under the Influence

A 45-year-old Crystal Lake man was arrested early Friday on charges of drunken driving, speeding and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.

The man, who is not being named because charges have not been filed on McHenry County Court's public access website, was pulled over near Virginia and Pingree roads about 12:05 a.m. Friday. He also was cited with driving without a valid driver's license. He later was released on bond.

Driving With No Valid License

A 28-year-old Crystal Lake man, who is not being named because charges have not been filed on McHenry County Court's public access website, was pulled over near Algonquin and Ellis roads about 12:07 a.m. Friday and was arrested on a charge of driving without a valid license.

He also was cited with speeding and later was released on bond.

Driving Under the Influence

A 24-year-old West Dundee woman was pulled over near Skyridge Drive and Alexandria Boulevard about 3:14 a.m. Friday.

The woman, who is not being named because charges have not been filed on McHenry County Court's public access website, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol with blood-alcohol content of more than .08 and improper lane usage. She was taken to McHenry County Jail.

Driving Under the Influence

A 25-year-old McHenry man was arrested early Thursday on a charge of drunken driving after police pulled him over near Rakow and Virginia roads about 2:26 a.m. Thursday.

Lucas J. Shutty was charged in McHenry County Court with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving on a revoked license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and driving 21 to 25 mph over the speed limit. He later was released on bond.

Domestic Battery

A 28-year-old Lake in the Hills man was arrested Thursday night after a report of domestic battery.

Christopher D. McCallum, 1380 Cunat Court, Apartment 1B, was charged with domestic battery/bodily harm and domestic battery/physical contact.

Police responded to the 1300 block of Cunat Court about 8:13 p.m. Thursday and took McCallum into custody before taking him to McHenry County Jail.

Driving While License Revoked

A 36-year-old Lake in the Hills man was pulled over near Jennings Drive and Pyott Road about 8:42 p.m. Wednesday.

Lake in the Hills police arrested Jose G. Hernandez, 172 Cool Stone Bend, on a charge of driving with a revoked license and cited him with driving without a safety sticker on his trailer. He later was released on bond.

Hernandez was charged in McHenry County with driving with no license/permit and improper traffic lane usage.

REPORTS: The following calls were made to LITH Police Department between Wednesday and Sunday.

Criminal Damage to Property

Lake in the Hills police were called about a driver-side window that was broken in the 1300 block of Cunat Court.  The report was made at 6:46 a.m. Wednesday. Another report was made about 7:19 a.m. regarding a rock that was thrown through a car window — also in the 1300 block of Cunat Court. A checkbook was reported taken from that vehicle.

Domestic Battery

A domestic battery was reported to police about 11:27 p.m. Wednesday between a husband and wife in the 2700 block of Hillsboro Lane. No report was filed.

Telephone Harassment

Someone living in the first block of Laurel Valley Court called police about 10:35 a.m. Thursday to report telephone harassment.

Violation of Order of Protection

Police were called about 12:09 p.m. Thursday for a possible violation of an order of a protection that occurred in Cary. The caller was referred to Cary police.

Ambulance Assist

An ambulance was called to a home in the 100 block of Wright Drive about 3:47 p.m. Thursday for a 16-year-old who was possibly having a seizure. The teen was transported to Woodstock Memorial Hospital.

Accident

No one was injured when a vehicle and motorcycle collided near Algonquin Road and Hilltop Drive about 1:45 p.m. Friday. Only property was damaged in the crash.

Burglary

A blue/black man's mountain bike was reportedly taken from a garage in the 400 block of Winslow Way about 3:27 p.m. Friday.

Ambulance Assist

An ambulance was called to Walgreen's, 100 N. Randall Road, about  5:13 p.m. Friday for a report of a 45-year-old woman who had fallen near the entrance. She was taken to Good Shepherd Hospital.

Theft

A mailbox was reported stolen from a location in the 400 block of Harvest Gate. The report was filed about 9:51 p.m.

Bicycle Found

A bicycle was reported found about 7:57 a.m. Saturday in the area of Albrecht Road and Cadbury Circle.

Suspicious Incident

A suspicious incident involving letters being left at the front door of a location on the 600 block of Lucerne Lane was reported to police about 10:17 a.m. Saturday.

Hit and Run

An unknown vehicle hit a parked vehicle at Blockbuster, 208 N. Randall Road, about 2:10 p.m. Saturday and then left the scene.

Attempted Burglary

Lake in the Hills police were called about forced break-in to a garage in the 1300 block of Jefferson Street. The report was made about 8:04 p.m. Saturday.

Ambulance Assist

An ambulance was called to Boulder Ridge Country Club, 350 Boulder Drive, about 9:12 p.m. Saturday for a 73-year-old woman who fell in a hallway. The woman was taken to Sherman Hospital.

Ambulance Assist

An ambulance was called to the 500 block of Crystal Lake Road about 2:03 a.m. Sunday to transport a 34-year-old woman with a facial injury. The woman was taken to Sherman Hospital.

Criminal Defacement

Police were called for a report of graffiti found on the curb in the area of Heartland and Miller roads about 8:41 a.m. Sunday.

Burglary

Fishing equipment was reported taken from an open garage in the 900 block of Barbara Street. The burglary was reported about 4:46 p.m. Sunday and is under investigation by Lake in the Hills police.
