Blotter: Drug Arrest; Home Burglary, Car Break-Ins on Royal Oak Lane

Violation of a No Contact Order

A 37-year-old Lake in the Hills woman was arrested in the 10 block of Sugar Creek Court about 4:26 p.m. Sunday on an order of violation of a no contact order. She later was released on bond. Her name is not being released, because charges have not been filed on the McHenry County Court’s public access website.

Burglaries, Trespassing on Royal Oak Lane

Police responded to a handful of burglaries and criminal trespassing to vehicles, as well as one burglary to a home on Royal Oak Lane in Lake in the Hills. The reports were all made Sunday.

  • A carton of cigarettes and a debit card reportedly were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 1500 block of Grant Avenue. 
  • A vehicle in the 1500 block of Royal Oak Lane was entered overnight. Nothing was removed.
  • A home in the 1400 block of Royal Oak Lane was burglarized and jewelry and collectible coins were taken.
  • A vehicle in the 1500 block of Royal Oak Lane was entered but nothing was taken.

Injury Accident

A 20-year-old woman was taken to an area hospital after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Albrecht and Miller roads about 7:28 p.m. Sunday.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

A 25-year-old Algonquin man was arrested in the 300 block of Hiawatha Drive about 1:25 p.m. July 9 on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana more than 2.5 grams and for disobeying a stop sign. He later was released on bond. His name is not being released, because charges have not yet been filed or entered into the McHenry County Court’s online public access website.

Unlawful Delivery of Alcohol to a Minor

A 23-year-old St. Charles man was arrested on a charge of unlawful delivery of alcohol to a minor and a 19-year-old Lake in the Hills man was arrested on a charge of illegal possession of alcohol by a minor at Sunset Park, 5200 Miller Road, about 4:03 p.m. July 9. The teen was given a notice to appear in court and the 23-year-old later was released on bond. Neither of their names is being released since neither had charges entered in the McHenry County Court’s public access website.

Teen Arrested for Battery

A 15-year-old Algonquin boy was arrested at Sunset Park, 5200 Miller Road, about 9:25 p.m. July 9 on a charge of battery. He later was released to his mother.

Found Article

Brass knuckles reportedly were found in the first block of Woody Way about 8:54 a.m. July 9.

Trespass to Motor Vehicle

A vehicle was entered in the 100 block of Harvest Gate about 9:09 a.m. July 9, but it was unknown if anything was missing.

Burglary

Police received a report of a burglary at a home in the 1100 block of Poplar Street that occurred between November and July 8. The report was made on July 8. Several items reportedly were taken from the home.

Hit and Run

A vehicle was hit by another vehicle at Ace Hardware, 481 N. Randall Road. The other vehicle then left the area. The accident was reported to police at 3:26 p.m. July 8.

Theft

Lake in the Hills Police are investigating a theft at Kurtis Galleries, 9 Crystal Lake Road, which occurred about 4:26 p.m. July 8.
