Blotter: Crash on Randall During Rush Hour; Teens Caught Drinking

Driving With a Suspended License

A 34-year-old Elgin woman was pulled over in the area of Pyott Road and Jennings Drive around 9:41 a.m. Monday and arrested for reportedly driving with a suspended license. She was later released on bond.

Retail Theft

A 37-year-old Lake in the Hills man was arrested at Costco, 250 N. Randall Road, around 10:35 a.m. Monday for a charge of retail theft under $300. He was later released on bond.

Wanted on Warrant

A 27-year-old Woodstock woman was arrested in the area of Randall Road and Miller Road around 1:33 p.m. Monday on a warrant out of Boone County for fraud. She was later released on bond.

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Police responded to the 100 block of Village Creek Drive around 7:21 p.m. and took into custody an 18-year-old Algonquin man on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and a 15-year-old Algonquin boy on charges of illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of tobacco by a minor. The 18-year-old was later released on bond and issued a notice to appear. The teen was released to his parents.  

Ambulance Assist

An ambulance was called to Lincoln Prairie Elementary School, 500 Harvest Gate, around 4:11 p.m. Wednesday for a report of a 9-year-old boy with a laceration to his head. The boy was taken to an area hospital.

Graffiti Reported

Police received information Tuesday that graffiti was found on the northwest fence line of Cedar Ridge Plaza, 2118 W. Algonquin Road.

Three-Vehicle Accident

Traffic was slow-going on Randall Road near Miller Road during rush hour Tuesday following a three-vehicle accident near the intersection around 4:04 p.m. No one was injured in the crash. Property was damaged as a result of the accident.

Attempted Theft of Metal

Police received information Tuesday evening that a male subject was trying to steal metal from the inside of a home under construction in the 4200 block of Galway Drive. The report is under investigation with the Lake in the Hills Police Department.
