Blotter: Car Hauler Stolen; Man Arrested for Domestic Battery

Retail Theft

A 40-year-old Lake in the Hills woman was arrested about 5:18 p.m. Wednesday at Dominick's, 101 N. Randall Road, on three counts of retail theft. She was transported to McHenry County Jail.

A 47-year-old Palm Harbor, Fla., man was arrested on a warrant at 10:36 a.m. Wednesday for failure to appear in West Chicago for speeding. He later was released on bond.

A 26-year-old Lake in the Hills man was arrested on a warrant at 2:25 p.m. Wednesday for failure to appear on a McHenry County Sheriff warrant for dangerous drugs. He later was released on bond.

Driving While License Suspended

A 50-year-old Crystal Lake man was arrested about 11:08 p.m. Wednesday in the 1600 block of Penn Court on charges of driving while license suspended, revoked registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, expired registration, unlawful display of registration and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. He later was released on bond.

Violation of Order of Protection

are investigating a report of a violation of an order of protection in the 200 block of Wedgewood Circle about 8:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Theft of Vehicle

A 34-foot bed car hauler reportedly was taken from Great Northwest Auto, 14 Prosper Court, about 12:25 p.m. Wednesday.

Driving While License Suspended

A 61-year-old Crystal Lake man was arrested about 7:24 a.m. Tuesday at 1025 W. Algonquin Road on a charge of driving while license suspended. 

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

A 55-year-old Crystal Lake man was arrested on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content over .08. He later was released on bond. 

Driving While License Suspended

A 21-year-old Woodstock man was arrested near Miller and Lakewood roads about 5:45 p.m. Tuesday on charges of driving while license suspended, no valid safety sticker and violation of license classification. He later was released on bond. 

Retail Theft

Police responded to Dominick's, 101 N. Randall Road, at 3:37 and 3:52 p.m. Tuesday for reports of liquor stolen. The reports were turned over to investigations. 

Driving While License Suspended

A 43-year-old Algonquin man was arrested near the intersection of Lakewood and Albrecht roads about 8:02 a.m. Tuesday on a charge of driving while license suspended. He was turned over to the McHenry County Jail. 

Domestic Battery

A 38-year-old Lake in the Hills man was arrested in the first block of Haddon Court about 4:36 p.m. Monday on two counts of domestic battery. He was turned over to the McHenry County Jail. 

Warrant

A 21-year-old Lake in the Hills man was arrested in the 2700 block of Melbourne Lane about 8:40 p.m. Monday on a DeKalb County warrant for failure to appear for dangerous drugs. He later was turned over to the McHenry County Jail. 

Theft

A Mongoose bicycle reportedly was removed from a garage in the 200 block of Wright Drive about 10:43 a.m. Monday. The theft is under investigation. 

Fraud

Lake in the Hills police are investigating a report of fraud made by a resident living in the 10 block of Wright Court. The resident reported their credit card was used to make purchases without their consent.

Criminal Damage to Property

Lake in the Hills police are investigating a report of damage to a chicken coop front doors in the area of Miller Road and Grafton Farm Drive about 2:36 p.m. Monday. The criminal damage report is under investigation.
