Blotter: Burglary to Vehicles; Hit and Run; Battery at Pizza Place

Lake in the Hills Police Department officers responded to several calls over the weekend.

Domestic Battery

A 30-year-old Lake in the Hills woman was arrested Sunday morning on two counts of domestic battery. Police were called to the 400 block of Village Creek where they took the woman into custody. She was taken to McHenry County Jail.

A vehicle collided with a boulder in the 20 block of Hilltop Drive around 9:33 a.m. Sunday.

Police are investigating a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle that was reported in the 600 block of Lorree Lane around 6:04 p.m. Sunday. Items were taken from an unlocked vehicle parked in the garage.

Drunken Driving Arrest

A 26-year-old Woodstock man was pulled over near the intersection of Lakewood Road and Algonquin Road around 2:53 a.m. Saturday for reportedly driving drunk. He was also cited for improper lane usage. He was later released on bond.

Criminal Damage to Vehicle, Drug Charges

A 23-year-old Lake in the Hills man was arrested on criminal damage to a vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia charges around 10:43 a.m. Saturday. The man was later released on bond.

Drug Arrest

A 25-year-old Cary man was arrested around 11:34 a.m. Saturday on a possession of marijuana charge in the 300 block of Tecumseh Trail. He was later released on bond.

Burglary From Vehicle

Lake in the Hills Police are investigating a burglary from a motor vehicle that was reported around 10:09 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Hiawatha Drive. A GPS was taken from an unlocked vehicle.

Protection Order Violation

Lake in the Hills police are investigating a possible violation of an order of protection that occurred in the 400 block of Village Creek Drive. The violation was reported around 11:36 a.m. Saturday.

Burglary to a Vehicle

Lake in the Hills Police are investigating a burglary to a vehicle complaint made around 5:04 p.m. in the 1300 block of Cunat Court. Items were removed from an unsecured vehicle.

Police are investigating a burglary to a vehicle complaint made around 6:33 p.m. Saturday in the 1000 block of Viewpoint Drive. Items were removed from an unsecured vehicle.

Battery Reported at Pizza Restaurant

Lake in the Hills Police were called around 7:12 p.m. Saturday for a report that a complainant was struck by an employee at , 471 N. Randall Road.

Hit and Run

A 21-year-old Woodstock man was arrested Friday morning for his alleged involvement in a hit and run accident. He was taken into custody on charges of leaving the scene of a property damage accident and failure to report an accident. He was also cited for failure to yield and for not having any valid insurance. He was later released on bond.
