Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol
Police arrested Horacio Jaimes-Sanchez, 29, of 26 Silver Tree Circle, Cary, at 4:19 a.m. May 6 at Randall and Algonquin roads on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and not wearing a seat belt. He later was released on bond.
No Valid Driver's License
Police arrested Kenny Torres, 27, of 1307 Washington St., Lake in the Hills, at 10:08 p.m. May 6 on charges of no valid driver's license and speeding. He later was released on bond.
Possession of Marijuana, Drug Paraphernalia
Police arrested two area teens on drug charges in the 200 block of Plum Street in Lake in the Hills at 9:15 p.m. May 7. Robert W. Schulz, 18, of 1213 Sycamore St., Lake in the Hills, was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Matthew Rowland, 18, of 11952 Devonshire St., Algonquin, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Both teens were later released on bond.
Battery
Police received a report of a battery between two friends in the 5400 block of Crossview Lane in Lake in the Hills at 4:35 a.m. May 7. A 21-year-old man was taken to Sherman Hospital. The report was being investigated by the reporting Lake in the Hills Police Department officer.
Driving While License Suspended
Police arrested Christian M. Briggs, 42, of 21 E. Oak St., Lake in the Hills, at 7:56 a.m. May 8 at Algonquin and Pyott roads on charges of driving while license suspended and no valid insurance. He later was released on bond.
Possession of Marijuana Over 3.5 Grams
Police arrested Alan E. Jasnow, 37, of Palatine, at 9:45 a.m. May 8 at Cedar Ridge Drive and Algonquin Road on charges of possession of marijuana over 3.5 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, expired registration and no valid insurance. He later was released on bond.
Domestic Battery
Police arrested Randy E. Thompson, 43, of 5657 McKenzie Drive, Lake in the Hills, at 12:30 p.m. May 8 in the 5600 block of McKenzie Drive on a charge of domestic battery. He was turned over to the McHenry County Jail.
Burglary to Motor Vehicle
Police received a report of a wedding ring that had been taken from a locked vehicle in the 100 block of Polaris Drive at 8:50 a.m. May 8. The report is under investigation.

Criminal Damage to Property
Police arrested Darshankumar K. Patel, 33, of Schaumburg, at 3:02 p.m. May 4 at 1502 County Line Road, Algonquin, on a charge of criminal damage to property. He was released after posting $150. He is expected in court on June 6 in McHenry County.
