Disorderly Conduct

Police arrested a 16-year-old Lake in the Hills boy at the Animal Care Clinic, 230 Stonegate Road in Algonquin, for disorderly conduct at 2:29 p.m. on Aug. 14. He was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on Sept. 26 in Algonquin. 

Violation of an Order of Protection

Police arrested John R. Berg, 59, at 8:39 p.m. on Aug. 14 at Wine and Roses, 1130 S. Main St. in Algonquin, for violation of an order of protection. Berg, of 1114 Pine St. in Lake in the Hills, was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

Battery

Police arrested Maya S. Ali, 41, at 1:24 a.m. on Aug. 15 at her home at 566 Woods Creek Lane in Algonquin. Ali was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

Retail Theft

Police arrested a 16-year-old Crystal lake boy at 5:14 p.m. on Aug. 15 at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, for retail theft. The boy was petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his parents. 

Retail Theft

Police arrested Vicki S. Oleferchik, 35, at Kohl's, 734 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, at 4:23 p.m. on Aug. 16 for retail theft. Oleferchik of Hampshire was taken to McHenry County Jail when unable to post bond. 

LAKE IN THE HILLS BLOTTER

Speeding in a Construction Zone

Police arrested Ricardo J. Carreno, 29, at 12:38 a.m. on Aug. 15 at Rakow and Virginia roads in Lake in the Hills for driving while license suspended and speeding in a construction zone. Carreno, of 436 Village Creek Drive, was later released on bond. 

Domestic Battery

Police arrested Sara T. Settepani, 31, in the 600 block of Wedgewood Circle in Lake in the Hills at 4:21 p.m. on Aug. 15 on two counts of battery. Settepani, of 620 Wedgewood Circle in Lake in the Hills, was taken to McHenry County Jail. 

Injury Accident/Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol

Police arrested Requa Renee Amend, 45, at 9:33 p.m. on Aug. 15 in the 200 block of Thunder Ridge in Lake in the Hills for driving under the influence of alcohol, improper lane usage and driving on the sidewalk. Amend of Lakewood was later released on bond. 

Burglary

Police received a report of a burglary in the 300 block of Ramble Road in Lake in the Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 15. The report was turned over the investigations team. 

Possession of a Controlled Substance

Police arrested a 14-year-old Lake in the Hills boy at 6 a.m. on Aug. 14 in the 1100 block of Starwood Pass for possession of a controlled substance and illegal consumption by a minor. He was later released by a parent. 

Driving While License Suspended

Police arrested Bonnie A. DiFoggio, 31, for driving while license suspended at 10:33 a.m. on Aug. 14 at Algonquin Road and Hilltop Drive in Lake in the Hills. DiFoggio of Hanover Park was later released on bond. 

Driving While License Suspended

Police arrested Lora K. Sutton, 45, at 12:39 a.m. on Aug. 16 at Hilltop Drive and Algonquin Road for driving while license suspended and no valid insurance. Sutton, of 1422 Grandview Court in Algonquin, was later released on bond.
