Blaze Damages Barrington Hills Barn

Eleven fire departments responded Thursday night to help battle a blaze at an abandoned barn in Barrington Hills. 

The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District was first called to 10370 Haegers Bend Road in Barrington Hills at 11 p.m. where they found a two-story, partially collapsed abandoned barn heavily involved in fire, according to a Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District press release. 

A total of 33 firefighters from 11 fire departments responded and had the fire under control within 20 minutes. 

No one was injured in the blaze. The fire remains under investigation. 

The Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District received assistance from the following fire agencies: Carpentersville, Crystal Lake, Huntley, Fox River Grove, East Dundee, Barrington-Countryside, and Cary.
