Algonquin Woman Injured in Three-Vehicle Accident in Crystal Lake

The accident closed one lane of Route 176 for 30 minutes this morning.

An Algonquin woman was injured in an accident this morning in Crystal Lake involving three vehicles and causing the closure of one lane of Route 176 , according to a Northwest Herald article.

Brenda Czaya, 42, was hospitalized after she attempted to drive her car out onto westbound Route 176 from a private driveway and was struck by an eastbound semi tractor-trailer. Czaya's car then rear-ended a Chevrolet 1500, driven by a Hampshire man.

Czaya was taken to a nearby hospital and was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Czaya was cited for failure to yield from a private drive. To read more, click here.
