Algonquin Police Arrest Several for Retail Theft, DUI, Battery

Algonquin Police release arrest reports through Aug. 15, 2013.

Retail Theft


A 17-year-old Hampshire girl was arrested and charged with retail theft at 6:18 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9. The teen was taken into custody at JC Penney, 800 S. Randall Rd. She was referred to the Tri County Area Peer Jury, and released into the custody of her mother. 


Nicholas Spagnola, 20, of the 600 block of Red Coach Lane, Algonquin, was arrested at 7:43 p.m. Friday, Aug. 9, and charged with retail theft. He was taken into custody at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Rd. He was released on a notice to appear in court Aug. 10, in Algonquin. 

Magdalena Zieba, 33, of the 10000 block of Greywall Ln., Huntley, was arrested at 12:35 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, and charged with retail theft. She was taken into custody at Kohl's, of the 700 block of S. Randall Rd. She was released on a notice to appear in court Sept. 25 in Algonquin. 


DUI


Patrick Luehring, 25, of the 1700 block of Westbury Dr., Algonquin, was arrested at 1:12 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, possession of cannabis, DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to yield the right of way. He was released after posting $250 and his drivers license for bond. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 18. 

Leopoldo Ruiz, 35, of the 100 block of Pueblo Rd., Carpentersville, was arrested at 4:28 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, DUI with a blood-alcohol content over .08, and driving in the wrong lane. He was taken into custody at Route 62 and Harrison St., Algonquin. He posted $100 and his drivers license for bond, and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 18. 


Battery

John H. McCreadie, 58, of the 1200 block of Victoria Ct., Algonquin, was arrested at 3:22 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12, and charged with battery. He was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department. He posted $150 for bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 18. 

Wanted on Warrant


Anthony D. Broederdorf, 21, of the 1300 block of Cardinal Dr., Algonquin, was arrested Aug. 15, on a warrant out of McHenry County for failure to appear in court to face a burglary charge. He was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department, and transported to the McHenry County Jail in Woodstock, when he was unable to post bond. 

Disorderly Conduct


Douglas Slagell, 54, of the 300 block of E. Jackson St., Hampshire, was arrested at 7:44 p.m. Aug. 15, and charged with disorderly conduct. He was taken into custody at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Rd. He posted $120 for bond and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 18. 

Domestic Battery


Alexander Trebat, 35, of the 900 block of Hayrack Dr., Algonquin, was arrested at 10:27 p.m. Aug. 15, and charged with domestic battery and harassment through electronic communication. He was transported to the McHenry County Jail, where he was awaiting a court hearing.  

Driving While License Suspended


Steven Acquaviva, 42, of the 1100 block of Greenridge Ave., Algonquin, was arrested at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Aug 12, and charged with driving while license suspended. He was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department. He posted $150 for bond, and was released. He is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 18. 


Jill Kelly, 41, of the 1200 block of W. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Hts., was arrested at 9:19 p.m. Aug. 14, and charged with driving while license suspended. She posted $150 bond and was released. She is scheduled to appear in court Sept. 18.
