Algonquin Police: Man Charged With Fleeing and Eluding, DUI

Algonquin Police Department arrest reports for June 3 through June 9.

Disobeying Traffic Control Signal: A 41-year-old Calumet City man was arrested at 2:40 p.m. on June 3 at Algonquin Road and Countryside Drive in Algonquin for driving while license revoked and disobeying traffic control signal. Ratwatti Hammond was released after  posting $150 and is next expected in court on July 9 in McHenry County. 

Domestic Battery: A 51-year-old Lakewood man was arrested at 210 Dowdle Court for domestic battery at 3:07 a.m. on June 4. Britt R. Miller was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

Criminal Damage to Property: A 15-year-old Carpentersville boy was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive, at 10:29 a.m. on June 4 and charged with theft over $300 and criminal damage to property. He was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his mother.

 Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Alcohol by a Minor: A 15-year-old Algonquin boy was arrested at 7:49 p.m. on June 5 at Highland Avenue and Longwood Drive in Algonquin for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of alcohol by a minor. He was referred to the tri-county area peer jury and then released into the custody of his parents. 

 Battery: A 12-year-old Lake in the Hills girl was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department at 9:49 p.m. on June 5 for battery. She was referred to the Tri County Area Peer Jury and then released into the custody of her mother.

 DUI: A 21-year-old Lake in the Hills woman was arrested at 12:22 a.m. on June 7 for driving under the influence, driving under the influence over, improper lane use and no proof of insurance. Kagel, Rebecca A. Kagel  was taken into custody at Randall Road and Stonegate Road.  She was released after posting $100 and her Illinois Driver’s License and is expected in court on July 24 in McHenry County.  

Theft: A 15-year-old Algonquin girl and a 19-year-old Algonquin man were arrested at Cornish Park, 101 S. Harrison St., at 7:28 p.m. on June 8 on a theft charge. The girl, who is not being named because she is a minor, was petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of her parents. The man, Paul E. Greer, was transported to McHenry County Jail when he was unable to post bond.  

Warrant:  Three local residents were arrested on warrants out of McHenry County for battery at the Algonquin Police Department at 3:11 p.m. on June 9. Jesus Nunez-Garcia, 21, of 106 Mora in Carpentersville; Luis Nunez-Garcia, 20, of 106 Mora in Carpentersville; and James J. Porreca, 22, of 35W240 Lathrop Lane in West Dundee were all taken into custody.  They were all released after posting $200 each and are next expected in court on June 27 in McHenry County. 

 Fleeing and Eluding, DUI: Joshusa Lirium of Carpentersville was arrested at 8 p.m. on June 9 at Stonegate Road and Rolls Drive for driving under the influence, driving while license revoked, fleeing and eluding, improper lane use, no proof of insurance, improper turn and for disobeying a stop sign. Lirium, 33, of 1531 Pawnee in Carpentersville, was released after posting $300. He is next expected in court on July 10 in McHenry County.
