Algonquin Police Make Battery, Retail Theft Arrests

Algonquin Police Department arrest reports for June 30 through July 7.

RETAIL THEFT: Algonquin Police arrested Lynn M. Busky, 60, at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road, at 2:20 p.m. on June 30 for retail theft. Busky, of 3671 Greyhawk Drive in Algonquin, was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on July 31 in Algonquin. 

BATTERY: Algonquin Police arrested Anthony J. Garcia Jr., 23, at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive, at 4:43 p.m. on June 30 on a battery charge. Garcia was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Aug. 7 in McHenry County. 

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Algonquin Police arrested Jason C. Lange, 26, at the Algonquin Police Department, 2200 Harnish Drive, at 9:54 p.m. on July 1 for domestic battery. Lange, of 176 Lake Shore Drive in Crystal Lake, was transported to Kane County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

SPEEDING: Algonquin Police arrested Reid J. Klein, 39, at Sandbloom Road and Helen Drive at 8:42 a.m. on July 2 for driving while license suspended, no proof of insurance and speeding. Klein, of 1620 Charles Ave., was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Aug. 28 in McHenry County. 

RETAIL THEFT: Algonquin Police arrested Cassandra R. Gray, 35, at Old Navy, 1824 S. Randall Road, at 2:55 p.m. on July 5 for felony retail theft. Gray of Chicago was transported to Kane County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

BATTERY: Algonquin Police arrested Malissa A. Sopka, 42, at Jewel, 1501 E. Algonquin Road, at 6:20 p.m. on July 5 for battery. Sopka, of 1690 Red Coach Lane in Algonquin, was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Aug. 14 in McHenry County. 

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Algonquin Police arrested Melvin Walker, 56, at 5 Arrowhead Drive at 9:13 p.m. on July 5 for domestic battery. Walker, of 5 Arrowhead Drive Apt. 43, was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

VIOLATION OF BAIL/BOND: Algonquin Police arrested Melvin Walker, 56, at 5 Arrowhead Drive, at 9:02 p.m. on July 6 for violation of bail bond. Walker was taken to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing. 

TINTED WINDOWS: Algonquin Police arrested Maria P. Lamigo-Deguzman, 29, at Randall Road and County Line Road at 1:22 a.m. on July 7 for driving while license suspended and tinted windows. Lamigo-Deguzman, of 10806 Sawgrass Lane in Huntley, was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Aug. 14 in McHenry County.
