LITH Woman Arrested for Hit and Run, Several People Charged with Retail Theft

Hit and Run

Lisa M. Howard, 41, of Medinah Ct., Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 11:10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, and charged with leaving the scene, failure to give aid and information at an accident and improper lane use. She was taken in custody at the Algonquin Police Department. She posted $150 and was released with a court date Jan. 8.

Resisting a Peace Officer

Keith A. Duncan, 25, of the 2500 block of Stonegate Rd., Algonquin, was arrested at 3:57 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, and charged with resisting a peace officer. He was taken into custody at his house. He posted $150 bond and was released with a court date of Jan. 2.


Driving While License Suspended

Oscar R. Vilchis, 31, of the 500 block of Highland Ave., Woodstock, was arrested at 6:43 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17, and charged with driving while license suspended and suspended registration. He was taken into custody at Randall and Algonquin roads. He posted $150 and was released with a court date of Dec. 18.

Wanted on Warrant

John M. Ostrega, 21, of the 1200 block of Fairmont Ct., Algonquin, was arrested 4:50 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, on a warrant out of McHenry County for filing a false police report. He posted $1,000, and was released with a court date of Nov. 26.

Jamie F. Lavelle, 37, of the 1300 block of Carlisle Ave., Elk Grove Village, was arrested at 12:45 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, on a warrant out of DuPage County for speeding. Lavelle was taken into custody at Route 31 and Lathrop Road. Lavelle posted $200 for bond and was released with a court date of Dec. 10, in DuPage County.

Retail Theft

Kathleen M. Wolf, 67, of the 1000 block of Zange Dr., Algonquin, was arrested at 7:14 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, and was charged with retail theft. She was taken into custody at Kohl’s, 734 S. Randall Rd. She was released on a notice to appear with a court date of Dec. 18.

April M. Staples, 48, of the 300 block of Lance Drive, Twin Lakes, Wis., was arrested at 1:33 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, and charged with retail theft. She was taken into custody at Meijer, 400 S. Randall Rd. She posted $150 bond and was released with a court date of Dec. 18.

DUI

Brian D. Reed, 50, of Portsmith Court, Algonquin, was arrested at 3:43 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody at 103 S. Randall Rd. He posted $300 and was released with a court date of Dec. 18.


Retail Theft and Underage Drinking

A 16-year-old Cary boy was arrested at 1:31 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, and charged with retail theft and unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor. He was taken into custody at Timberwood Lane and Old Mill Lane. He was formally petitioned into Juvenile Court and then released into the custody of his parents.

Underage Drinking/ DUI

Scott L. Palmsiano, 20, of the 800 block of Mayberry Court, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 9:08 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, and charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was taken into custody at Brunswick Zone, 1611 S. Randall Rd. He was released on a notice to appear in court on Dec. 18, in Algonquin.

Joel A. Chambers, 26, of the 300 block of Winslow Way, Lake in the Hills, also was arrested at 9:08 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while license suspended. He posted $300 bond and was released with a court date of Jan. 8, in McHenry County.
