Algonquin Police Blotter: Underage Drinking; Possession of Marijuana

July 11, 2011

  • Kyle C. Quinlan, 19, of the 10600 block of Elizabeth Avenue, Huntley, was arrested at Wal-Mart, 1410 S. Randall Road, on a charge of retail theft. He was released on a notice to appear, with a court date of Aug. 31, in Algonquin.

July 12, 2011

  • Thomas L. Liuzzi, 20, of the 600 block of Gaslight Drive, Algonquin, was arrested at 620 Gaslight on a charge of driving while license suspended. He was released after posting $150, with a court date of Aug. 17, in McHenry County.

  • Aneta M. Niwelt, 19, of the 600 block of Joseph Street, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 630 Regal Drive on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was released on a notice to appear, with a court date of Aug. 31, in Algonquin.

  • Guadalupe Giron, 24, of the 3S200 block of Twin Pines Drive, Warrenville, was arrested at Route 62 and Harrison Street on a DuPage County warrant for failure to appear on a no valid driver’s license charge. She also was charged with no valid driver’s license and failure to reduce speed. She was released after posting $800 on the DuPage County Warrant with a court date of Aug. 19, in DuPage. She also posted $150 on the Algonquin charges and has a court date of Aug. 24, in McHenry County.

  • A 16-year-old Lake in the Hills boy was arrested at Huntington and Aberdeen drive on charges of curfew violation and consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was released on a notice to appear, with a court date of Aug. 31, in Algonquin.
