Algonquin Police Blotter: Sept. 30 - Oct. 2

The following arrest information was supplied by the Algonquin Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sept. 30, 2011

  • Juan C. Rivera-Rendon, 26, of the 1-99 block of Wren Street, Carpentersville, was charged with no valid driver’s license and speeding.  He was arrested at Washington Street and LaFox River Drive.  He was released after posting $150, with a court date of Nov. 9, in McHenry County.

Oct. 1, 2011

  • Claribell Caraballo, 32, of the 500 block of Darlington Lane, Crystal Lake, was charged with driving while license suspended and no proof of insurance.  She was arrested at Algonquin Road and Meyer Drive.  She was released on a personal recognizance bond, with a court date of Nov. 2, in McHenry County.
  • Sheila A. Pittman, 35, of the 500 block of Burbank Avenue, Woodstock, was charged with retail theft and Felony driving while license revoked.  Also taken into custody was Sherice M. Vargas, 40, of the 500 block of Eastwood Court, Woodstock, who was charged with retail theft and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Both were arrested at Randall Road and Harnish Drive and were transported to McHenry County Jail, when unable to post bond.

  • Tyler C. Benfield, 22, of the 900 block of Sutherland, Crystal Lake, was charged with illegal possession of marijuana and expired registration.  He was arrested at Randall Road and Longmeadow Parkway.  He was released after posting $150, with a court date of Oct. 27, in Kane County.
  • Joseph J. Lesniak, 22, of the 1-99 block of Saginaw Street, Lake in the Hills, was charged with illegal possession of marijuana.  He was arrested at Randall Road and Longmeadow Parkway.  He was released after posting $150, with a court date of Oct. 27, in Kane County.
