Algonquin Police Blotter: Retail Theft at Kohl's, Man Arrested on Three Warrants

The following arrest reports were made between June 23 and June 25 in Algonquin. 

Speeding

Adan Almanza-Alvarez, 22, of Carpentersville, was arrested at 11:54 p.m. on June 23 and was charged with driving while license revoked and speeding. Almanza-Alvarez was taken into custody at Randall Road and Huntley Road. He was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on Aug. 6 in McHenry County.  

Driving While License Revoked

Daniel E. Stacy, 37, of 327 Jefferson St. in Algonquin, was arrested at Route 31 and Route 62 in Algonquin at 9:46 p.m. on June 24. He was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on July 30 in McHenry County. 

Driving While License Suspended

Garrett P. Buck, 21, of 5714 Marietta Drive in Crystal Lake, was arrested at Main Street and Linden Avenue in Algonquin at 7:20 a.m. on June 25. He was charged with driving while license suspended, no proof of insurance and following too closely. He was released after posting $150 and is next expected in court on July 23 in McHenry County. 

Arrest Warrants

David A. Crawford, 40, of West Chicago, was arrested on a warrant out of McClean County for failure to appear and was also wanted on two driving while license suspended warrants out of McClean and Kankakee counties. He was taken into custody at N. Harrison Street and Edward Street at 4:21 p.m. on June 25. He was transported to McHenry County Jail, to await a bond hearing.

Retail Theft   

Gabriela Barrera, 45, of Carpentersville, was arrested at Kohl's, 734 S. Randall Road in Algonquin, at 11 p.m. on June 25 and was charged with retail theft. She was released on a notice to appear and is next expected in court on July 30 in Algonquin.
