Algonquin Police Arrests: Teens Charged with Theft at Walmart

Police arrest two teens on theft charges.

 

Note: The following information was obtained from Algonquin Police reports from Jan. 25-27, 2013:

Possession of Drug Paraphernalia at Jacobs

A 14-year-old Lake in the Hills boy was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on Jan. 25, police said. The teen was taken into custody at Jacobs High School, 2601 Bunker Hill Drive. He was formally petitioned into juvenile court and released into the custody of his foster parent.

Retail Theft

Police said a 17-year-old West Dundee man was charged with retail theft on Jan. 25. The man was taken into custody at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road, according to reports. He was referred to the Tri County Area Peer Jury and released into the custody of his parents.

A 17-year-old Crystal Lake woman was arrested at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road, and charged with retail theft on Jan. 26, police said. She was released on a notice to appear with a court date of Feb. 27 in Algonquin.

Domestic Battery

Timothy C. Lucey, 46, of 1149 Sawmill Lane, Algonquin, was charged with two counts of domestic battery on Jan. 27, police said. He was taken into custody at 1149 Sawmill Lane.

 

The filing of charges is not proof of guilt. A defendant charged is presumed innocent and is entitled to a fair trial where prosecutors must prove his or her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
