Algonquin Police Blotter: Oct. 10-12

The following arrest information was supplied by the Algonquin Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Oct. 10, 2011

  • Luis A. Nunez-Garcia, 19, of the 1600 block of Cumberland Parkway, Algonquin, was charged with no valid driver’s license and speeding.  He was arrested at Randall Road and Corporate Parkway.  He was released after posting $150, with a court date of Nov. 22, in McHenry County.
  • A 15-year-old boy from Algonquin was charged with two counts of battery.  He was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department.  He was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his parents.

Oct. 11, 2011

  • Edwin Ross Beattie, 53, of the 200 block of Powder Horn Court, Gilberts, was charged with driving while license suspended, expired registration, suspended registration and no proof of insurance.  He was arrested at County Line Road and Boyer Road.  He was released after posting $150, with a court date of Nov. 1, in McHenry County.

  • A 17-year-old girl from Lake in the Hills was charged with battery.  She was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department.  She was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of her father.
  • Michael A. Riva, 20, of the 300 block of Tecumseh Trail, Lake in the Hills, was charged with no valid driver’s license and expired registration.  He was arrested at Route 62 and Sandbloom Road.  He was released on a personal recognizance bond, with a court date of Nov. 16, in McHenry County.
  • A 17-year-old girl from Lake in the Hills was charged with retail theft.  She was arrested at Claire’s, 1728 S. Randall Road.  She was released on a notice to appear, with a court date of Nov. 30, in Algonquin.
  • Michael A. Brandt, 35, of the 1000 block of Meghan Avenue, Algonquin, was wanted on a warrant, out of McHenry County for failure to appear on a reckless driving charge.  He was arrested at his home and was released after posting $1000, with a court date of Nov. 14, in McHenry County.
