Algonquin Police Blotter: Nov. 14-17

Nov. 14, 2011

  • A 15-year-old Algonquin boy was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department on a charge of aggravated battery: public place. He was petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his mother.

Nov. 15, 2011

  • Mitchell P. Schackelton, 25, of the 200 block of Scenic Drive, Algonquin, was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department on a McHenry County warrant for failure to appear on a DUI charge. He was released after posting $750, with a court date of Dec. 7, in McHenry County.
  • Brittany N. Mauerman, 22, of the 4900 block of Linden Road, Rockford, was arrested at County Line and Stonegate roads on charges of driving while license suspended and no seat belt. She was released after posting $150, with a court date of Dec. 21, in McHenry County.

  • Oscar Rangel, 20, of the 100 block of South Dubois Avenue, Elgin, was arrested at Hayes and Main streets on charges of no valid driver’s license, improper lane use, texting while driving and no proof of insurance. He was released after posting $150, with a court date of Dec. 21, in McHenry County.
  • Ana G. Felix, 37, of the 3400 block of Sonoma Circle, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at Rolls and Huntington drive on charges of driving while license suspended and child safety seat violation. She was released after posting $150, with a court date of Dec. 21, in McHenry County.

Nov. 17, 2011

  • A 15-year-old Algonquin boy was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department on a charge of battery. He was referred to the Tri County Area Peer Jury and then released into the custody of his mother.
