Algonquin Police Blotter: No Valid Drivers License

January 3, 2011

  • Karen P. Alcantara, 22, of the 1300 block Essex Street, Algonquin, was charged with no valid driver’s license, no front plate and no proof of insurance.  She was arrested at Route 62 and Ryan Parkway.  She was released after posting $150, with a court date of Feb. 9, in McHenry County.

January 4, 2011

  • Derek E. Vandermeir, 29, of the 800 block of Village Quarter, West Dundee, was charged with driving while license suspended and suspended registration.  He was also wanted on a warrant out of Kane County for failure to appear on a driving while license suspended charge.  He was arrested at Front and Main street.  He was released after posting $150, on the Algonquin charges with a court date of Feb. 9, in McHenry County.  He also posted $400, on the Kane County warrant and was given a court date of Feb. 18, in Kane County.
  • Karina Polanco-Vede, 26, of the 10300 block of Ashley Street, Huntley, was charged with no valid driver’s license, speeding and no proof of insurance.  She was taken into custody at N. River Road and Route 62.  She was released after posting $150, with a court date of Feb. 9, in McHenry County.
  • Jason D. Henson, 35, of the 1000 block of Viewpoint Drive, Lake in the Hills, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, driving while license revoked, failure to reduce speed and no proof of insurance.  He was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department.  He was released after posting $150, with a court date of Feb. 9, in McHenry County.
  • Zachary J. Murr, 27, of the 53500 block of Kershner Lane, Elkhart, Indiana was charged with driving while license suspended, no proof of insurance and expired registration.  He was arrested at Randall Road and Harnish Drive.  He was released after posting $150, with a court date of Feb. 9, in McHenry County.
  • David Berber, 44, of the 1500 block of Millbrook Drive, Algonquin, was charged with no valid driver’s license and speeding.  He was arrested at Randall and Huntley Road.  He was released on a personal recognizance bond, with a court date of Feb. 16, in McHenry County.
