Algonquin Police Blotter: Jan. 23 to Jan. 26

The following arrest information was supplied by the Algonquin Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Jan. 23, 2012

  • A 14-year-old Carpentersville boy was arrested at Jacobs High School, 2601 Bunker Hill Drive, on charges of illegal consumption and possession of alcohol by a minor. He was released on a notice to appear, with a court date of Feb. 29, in Algonquin.
  • A 14-year-old Carpentersville boy was arrested at Jacobs High School, 2601 Bunker Hill Drive, on a charge of illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was released on a notice to appear, with a court date of Feb. 29, in Algonquin.
  • A 14-year-old Carpentersville boy was arrested at Jacobs High School, 2601 Bunker Hill Drive, on a charge of illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor. He formally was petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his father.

Jan. 24, 2012

  • Sean M. Kelley, 24, of the 3000 block of Baldwin Lane, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at Harnish Drive and Boyer Road on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and on a Kane County warrant for failure to appear on a possession of marijuana charge. He was released after posting $150, on the McHenry County charge, with a court date of Feb. 29, in McHenry County; and after posting $500, on the Kane County warrant, with a court date of Feb. 16, in Kane County.
  • Joseph M. Cvitkoivich Jr., 48, of the 1300 block of Yarmouth Court, Schaumburg, was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department on a McHenry County warrant for retail theft. He was released after posting $100, with a court date of Feb. 7, in McHenry County.
  • William M. Hallowell, 19, of the 2300 block of Bayview Circle, Algonquin, was taken into custody at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road, on a charge of retail theft. He was released on a notice to appear, with a court date of Feb. 29, in Algonquin.

  • Sabrina M. Schaefer, 18, of the 44W200 block of U.S. 20, Hampshire, was arrested at Walmart, 1410 S. Randall Road, on a charge of retail theft. She was transported to McHenry County Jail, when unable to post bond.
  • A 12-year-old Algonquin girl was arrested at Heineman Middle School, 725 Academic Drive, on a charge of illegal possession of alcohol by a minor. She was referred to the Tri County Area Peer Jury and then released into the custody of her mother.
