Algonquin Police Blotter: Improper Operation of Golf Cart on Roadway

February 14, 2011

  • James P. Rufolo, 54, of the 3700 block of North Odell, Chicago, was charged with DUI, following too closely and improper backing.  He was arrested at Bunker Hill Drive and Randall Road.  He was released after posting $100 and his Illinois driver’s license, with a court date of March 16, in McHenry County.

February 15, 2011

  • A 17-year-old female from Lake in the Hills was charged with retail theft.  She was arrested at Kohl’s, 832 S. Randall Road.  She was released on a notice to appear, with a court date of March 30, in Algonquin.

  • Brandon T. Weinhammer, 33, of the 11900 block of Hanson Road, Algonquin, was charged with DUI, improper operation of golf cart on roadway, no proof of insurance, improper signal, disregarding stop sign, no head/tail lights and illegal transportation of alcohol.  He was taken into custody at Zange Drive and Hanson Road.  He was released after posting $100 and his Illinois driver’s license, with a court date of March 23, in McHenry County.
