Algonquin Police Blotter: Feb. 6-9

The following arrest information was supplied by the Algonquin Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Feb. 6, 2012

  • A 16-year-old boy from Lake in the Hills was charged with battery.  He was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department.  He was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his father.
  • Jose G.Franco, 46, of the 200 block of Riversview Drive, Carpentersville, was charged with driving while license suspended and disregarding a stop sign.  He was arrested  in the 1500 block of South Randall Road.  He was released after posting $150, with a court date of March 14, in McHenry County.
  • William E. Mulroe, 42, of the 1600 block of Teri Lane, Algonquin, was charged with domestic battery.  He was arrested at his home and was transported to Kane County Jail to await a bond hearing.

Feb. 7, 2012

  • A 17-year-old girl from Elgin was charged with retail theft and resisting a peace officer.  She was arrested at Wal-Mart, 1410 S. Randall Road.  She was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of her mother.
  • Juan C. Moreno, 45, of the 100 block of College Street, Elgin, was charged with driving while license revoked, no proof of insurance, improper bumpers and no valid safety certification.  He was arrested at Edgewood and Route 31.  He was released after posting $150, with a court date of March 21, in McHenry County.
  • A 15-year-old boy from Huntley was charged with retail theft.  He was arrested at Wal-Mart, 1410 S. Randall Road.  He was released on a notice to appear, with a court date of March 28, in Algonquin.
  • Rita Patel, 37, of the 12200 block of Bartelt Lane, Huntley, was wanted on a warrant, out of McHenry County for endangering the life of a child.  She was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department.  She was released after posting $200, with a court date of March 14, in McHenry County.

  • A 17-year-old girl from Algonquin and a 17-year-old girl from Carpentersville were both charged with retail theft.  They were arrested at Wal-Mart, 1410 S. Randall Road.  They were both referred to the Tri County Area Peer Jury and then released into the custody of their parents.

Feb. 9, 2012

  • Michael P. Arjmand, 19, of the 1-99 block of Ascot Lane, Barrington, was charged with driving while license suspended.  He was arrested in the 2100 block of Lake Cook Road.  He was released after posting $150, with a court date of March 14, in McHenry County.
