Algonquin Police Blotter: Failure to Give Notice After Striking Unattended Vehicle

The police department's reports for July 2-4.

July 2, 2011

  • Ashley R. Martinez, 26, of the 1300 block of North Claremont, Chicago, was arrested at the Thirsty Whale, 1700 S. Randall Road, on a charge of domestic battery. She was transported to Kane County Jail to await a bond hearing.
  • Brett M. Seiler, 19, of the 200 block of Terramere Lane, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at the Lake in the Hills Police Department on charges of resisting a peace officer, reckless driving, no valid driver’s license, no proof of insurance, failure to give notice after striking unattended vehicle, failure to give notice of accident, not driving on right side of roadway, failure to reduce speed and disobeying a flashing red light. He was released on a notice to appear, with a court date of Aug. 3, in McHenry County.
  • Stacy M. Mitchell, 38, of the 3800 block of Willow View Drive, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at 107 S. Main St. on a McHenry County warrant for failure to appear on a resisting a peace officer charge. She was released after posting $575, with a court date of Aug. 4, in McHenry County.

July 3, 2011

  • Timothy L. Murrin, 42, of the 1000 block of North Sterling Avenue, Palatine, was arrested at Bunker Hill and Golden Eagle drives on charges of DUI, leaving the scene of an accident and no proof of insurance. He was released on a personal recognizance bond after posting his driver’s license, with a court date of Aug. 10, in McHenry County.
  • Michael T. Provost, 32, of the 14700 block of Fieldstone Drive, Huntley, was arrested at Barrington Road north of I-90 on charges of leaving the scene of an accident, failure to reduce speed and no proof of insurance. He was released on a personal recognizance bond, with a court date of July 27, in McHenry County.
  • Michael J. Morgan, 20, of the 1300 block of Big Sur Parkway, Algonquin, was arrested at his home on a charge of domestic battery.  He was transported to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.

  • A 17-year-old Elgin boy was arrested at Randall and Huntley roads on charges of no valid driver’s license, improper lane usage and possession of marijuana. He was released on a notice to appear for the traffic violations, with a court date of July 19, in McHenry County and on a notice to appear on the drug charge with a court date of Aug. 31, in Algonquin.
