Algonquin Police Blotter: DUI; Resisting Police

The police department's reports for June 10-12.

The following incidents were listed among the official reports of the Algonquin Police Department. Readers are reminded that an arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

June 10, 2011

  • Samantha A. Feiler, 23, of the 400 block of Big Cloud Pass, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at Kohl’s, 734 S. Randall Road, on a charge of retail theft. She was released on a notice to appear in court July 27 in Algonquin.
  • Stephen P. Comesky, 48, of the 300 block of South Hubbard Street, Algonquin, was arrested on a charged of domestic battery and was transported to McHenry County Jail to await a bond hearing.

  • Genaro Herrera, 37, of the 400 block of South Street, Elgin, was arrested at 1398 Grandview Court on charges of obstructing peace officer, no valid driver’s license, leaving the scene of an accident and failure to yield while turning. He was released after posting $150, with a court date of July 13, in McHenry County.
  • Gloria Ortiz, 45, of the 1300 block of Grandview Court, Algonquin, was arrested on a charge of obstructing a peace officer.  She was released after posting $150, with a court date of July 13, in McHenry County.
  • Demitri C. Papachristopoulos, 31, of the 1800 block of Fernwood, Algonquin, was arrested on a charge of domestic battery and was transported to Kane County to await a bond hearing.
  • Heriberto Rodriguez, 26, of the 100 block of LaSalle Street, Streamwood, was arrested at Edgewood Drive and Hanson Road on charges of DUI, DUI over .08, no proof of insurance, improper lane usage and possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was released after posting $300, with a court date of July 13, in McHenry County.

June 12, 2011

  • Ermundo Albarran, 36, of the 5500 block of Chantilly Circle, Lake in the Hills, was arrested at Jewel, 1501 E. Algonquin Road, on charges of driving while license suspended and fighting in the village.  He was released after posting $150, with a court date of July 20, in McHenry County.
