Algonquin Police Blotter: DUI, No Valid Driver's License

March 11, 2010

  • A 17-year-old male from West Dundee was charged with Battery.  He was taken into custody at the Algonquin Police Department.  He was formally petitioned into juvenile court and then released into the custody of his parents.
  • Aracely Roman, 31, of the 3100 block of Brisbane Drive, Lake in the Hills, was charged with retail theft.  She was arrested at Kohl’s, 734 S. Randall Road.  She was released on a notice to appear, with a court date of April 27, in Algonquin.
  • Mitchell P. Schackelton, 24, of the 200 block of Scenic Drive, Algonquin, was charged with driving while license suspended, no front plate and no proof of insurance.  He was arrested at Stonegate Road and Hartford Court.  He was released after posting $150, with a court date of April 13, in McHenry County.
  • Cathleen F. Helmer, 55, of the 100 block of Brook Street, Algonquin, was charged with DUI, improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, no proof of insurance and possession of cannabis.  She was arrested at Harrison Street and Route 62.  She was released after posting $420, with a court date of April 13, in McHenry County.

March 12, 2011

  • Peter Rim, 38, of the 2300 block of North Hamilton Street, Chicago, was charged with DUI and speeding.  He was arrested at Randall Road and Broadsmore Drive.  He was released after posting $300, with a court date of April 13, in McHenry County.
  • Timothy B. Oshinski, 43, of the 100 block of South Main Street, Algonquin, was charged with aggravated assault and battery. He was released after posting $150, with a court date of April 27, in McHenry County.
  • Christopher D. Wills, 19, of the 3200 block of Nottingham Drive, Algonquin, was charged with DUI, improper lane usage and no proof of insurance.  He was arrested at Bunker Hill and Sherman drive.  He was released after posting $300, with a court date April 20, in McHenry County.
  • Sean M. Stanko, 19, of the 2000 block of Clematis Drive, Algonquin, was wanted on a warrant out of McHenry County for battery and disorderly conduct.  He was arrested at the Algonquin Police Department.  He was transported to McHenry County Jail, when unable to post bond.

  • Samuel Avitia-Guzman, 27, of the 300 block of Amarillo Drive, Carpentersville, was charged with no valid driver’s license and improper lane usage.  He was arrested at Route 62 and Sandbloom Road.  He was released after posting $150, with a court date of April 20, in McHenry County.
  • Anabel Escobedo, 22, of the 100 block of Granada Road, Carpentersville, was charged with no valid driver’s license.  She was arrested at Randall Road and County Line Road.  She was released after posting $150, with a court date of April 20, in McHenry County.
